Without Cam healthy it won't matter...do you think we have the talent for a good D right now?

Of course not, unless we have added some new players since yesterday.  Although I don't think we are as far away as some do.  I think that we need to make some changes up front, and add a couple of guys in the secondary, and that combined with a coaching change could make a significant difference.

But my point was that even with Cam completely healthy (2015 healthy), we still wouldn't have been able to challenge the top four teams in the NFC this season.  And having Cam healthy next year won't turn us into challengers.  While it would help, a healthy qb alone won't fix things.

We could be better next year even if Cam can't get healthy, if were to pick up a good qb in the draft,   But the best option would be for Cam to be completely healthy and working well with the new coaching staff and we make some successful changes on the offensive and defensive lines.

The I-thru-III trilogy on top of The Last Jedi ruined this Star Wars fan forever.  I refuse to even go see Rise of Skywalker (though, in its defense, I have heard that it is better than TLJ).

This coming from a guy who went to see "Star Wars: A New Hope" (or just "Star Wars" at that point) 9 times in theater on its original release (rinse and repeat for The Empire Strikes Back and (to a lesser extent) The Return of the Jedi).

ROTS is about as good as TFA. Abrams did the best he could with what Johnson left him. I've seen it twice now and will probably go again.

That said, Mandalorian is the best new  Star Wars we've gotten in a long time.

Yes...I understood your point.

Totally.  Baby Yodaaaa

Also a bump in lieu of the Hurney news.  Good gosh.

1998-Forever.  The man is becoming the franchise.  Hope Tepper has a f*cking good plan but it seems like we're looking at

GM-Hurney

HC-McCarthy

Assistant GM/Director of Opps-TBD younger guy

Virtually no OL or DL minus Short and Turner but they're almost past their primes.

    • Nah I love Thielen and he's a more than valuable player, but I think we have that role covered a bit with XL (in terms of the going across the middle) and if we were to draft T-Mac, he also thrives on crossing routes and absorbing hits while making crazy grabs. I'd rather have a peak Curtis Samuel type of slot WR over a Thielen, especially with XL and Coker already on the roster who are more in the Thielen mold from the slot than a Samuel, even if they aren't exactly Thielen of course.
    • Call me crazy but I'd like a Bersin type guy in later rounds that can learn under AT the tricks about how to get open. Bersin wasn't flashy or fast, but he caught every damn thing thrown at him. Someone who's willing to go across the middle and take those hits and actually hang on to the damn ball is something I think we've been sorely missing for a while.
    • I'm not going to try and go find old posts from months and months ago, but yes, you called me crazy for saying T-Mac over Hunter as a WR on numerous occasions. and yes, you are a Madden fanboy (and I don't mean the game, just in how you view potential roster management moves, you view them as if it's Madden where you can manipulate things to get whatever you want done). Again, that you don't see this stuff is an indictment on you, not me.
