Tepper is not a blow it up guy

He did not want to fire Rivera last year because he just got finished blowing up the business side of the organization. He literally said that in an interview. A first time owner is not reasonably going to fire evetything in the front office in one year... If we fired hurney today... In a span of now until April we would need to

1. Find GM

2. Find a HC

3. These two get to know what the HC is going to run

4. Formulate a draft plan

All in a span of four months... That is obscene and almost impossible! We would have 2 months if we are lucky to scout. Hurney teams have appeared in 2 (let's be real, the 2015 team was almost all hurney guys) super bowls the past 20 years, it is very possible the new gm is hired as hurney's contract expires so he can retire or take another job... This is not a 1 year rebuild, better buckle in for the ride.

1. Fire Coach

2. Keep GM but hint at a demotion

3. Let said GM re-sign a linebacker to a $15 mil/yr contract with no coach in place

4. Profit?

Hurney's contract expires after next year if I'm not mistaken? Firing gm now is a death sentence, hurney is a expert in the first round. Y'all whine about 2-7 when the man has drafted 3-5 pro football HOFers. Shaq earned the deal, saving his money means you have to pay someone else. I'd rather hit on my 1st then bust it and get role players 2-7. I think Hurney will be demoted to scouting after the draft.

6.875 M is the guaranteed average salary over the 4 years.

If you're going to mention contracts understanding the guaranteed money and structure is key. Shaq's 2020 CAP hit is ONLY - 7.2 M (That includes the salary / bonus) <<< That is less than he made this season under the 5th year option...

I think it is realistic Hurney GMs out his contract and retires with dignity with a ceremony celebrating his success here during the last home game.

That's cool.  I wasn't trying to really be accurate about it.  Yessir

Then he's a year-to-year mediocrity guy.

I've had that suspicion for almost a year and a half now.

You obviously have 0 knowledge about how to manage a business lol. Go into any business and fire your top two managers at the same time and see how that goes for you. I guess David tepper is supposed to coach and Scout for the draft lol. Don't forget, the Bengals have their coach like 10 years lol.

I honestly don't give a singly flying fug about Tepper's other business, pal.

And if he doesn't have the financial, mental, or emotional capability to run two business independently and simultaneously, then he ain't the High Flying Genius that you Tepper Hero Squad members have previously made him out to be.
