Cardinals DT Bryan Robinson: "We played down to our competition"

The Bills loss was another fine example of us shooting ourselves in the foot and losing to an inferior team.

Exactly. The Panthers are what their record shows them to be. Don't get me wrong here, I want the Panthers to succeed and win, but to say that because they won a game in an extremely emotional, vendetta game that they are categorically "better" than the Cardinals is 100% homerism.

I'm not saying the Panthers are the best team in the NFL, and I'm not ready to give them the Lombardi trophy - but I believe that pound for pound we are a better team than Arizona.

Sunday, they were.

a team is only as good as their weakest link. However, overall i agree that we are a better team then buffalo and arizona but turnovers are the X factor and we have had a turnover machine touching the ball every play.

And thus, you are an absolute joke when it comes to grading an NFL football team, if you really are basing your judgment on them off of their history. Panthers got dominated in the playoffs (when the real football teams are supposed to show up) last year, as well as the rest of the NFC. The Panthers, almost more than any other team, are an example that you shouldn't base an opinion of a team off of their past. Also see the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for why your opinion is garbage.

Ok smart ass, tell me who the Cardinals have beaten THIS YEAR that would indicate they are any good.

Jacksonville - horrible

Seattle - horrible

Houston - average

NYG - apparently average, maybe below average.

Now, the losses.

San Fran - not very good, and their home opener no less

Indy - thoroughly embarassed at home in primetime

Carolina - 6 turnovers and nearly 300 yards rushing.

That's 4 victories over very bad to average teams, and three losses, two of which they barely competed in for the better part of the game. So, maybe you can explain why they are running their mouths about "playing down" to the competition when they haven't ever proven anything outside of their three game wet dream last year.

Houston and NY Giants are "bad to average teams." OK homer. And the way the teams are playing, I'd hardly chalk up Indi and SF as bad teams, especially considering the way the 2 played each other on Sunday. You might also notice that I laughed at B-Rob's talking after the fact... I understand that you won't, though, Homer.

Didn't say Indy was a bad team, but I did say the Cardinals totally failed to compete against them. That is the only truly good team they have faced this year and they got killed.

As for the Giants they haven't proven poo this year and they look like a team in total disarray at the moment. Their corners are some of the worst in the league, their front 4 is nowhere near what it used to be and they are missing Plaxico more than they want to admit. Look for them to be 8-8 by the end of the year after running their record to 5-0 against the likes of TB, Oakland, KC and Washington.

Houston is 5-3 and isn't a bad team, but they have also lost to Jacksonville, and were embarassed by Mark Sanchez in his first NFL start. No one is going to mistake them for the 07 Patriots.

You can call me a homer if you want, but Arizona's schedule and results against mostly subpar competition shows they aren't very good from an objective viewpoint. I'm sorry that DUHHH Bears don't have a message board that can occupy 100% of your time so you come over here and offer your "non-biased" opinion on a Panther board.

I hope you enjoy the Warner-Cutler pillowfight in the Windy City on Sunday. Maybe the Cards will reign supreme again and rise up to smack down Chi. a la Carson Palmer 2 weeks ago.

 at this guy

I can almost envision him hammering away at his keyboard all impassioned with his homerism.

I never claimed the Panthers were good. If you had any reading comprehension you'd see that I think AZ is not worth a poo and thus should not be talking after a game where they lost to an equally bad opponent. If anything, both the Panthers and AZ are flawed football teams who shouldn't expect to go anywhere this year.

just go away. AZ is leading their division and has an explosive offense. they got beat up by good pass rush and pass coverage. give it rest

Got a kick out of a quote from Cardinals DT Bryan Robinson who said "We played down to our competition" referring to the game this past Sunday.

If I just got ran all over and embarrassed, I guess I'd be coming up with stupid excuses as well.

Hey Bryan: You are who we thought you were... but we didn't let you off the hook.

"We knew what they were going to do and we couldn't stop it," Arizona nose tackle Bryan Robinson said.

    • I call bullshit. Brady,Manning,Brees and Burrow are all just ball distributors. And the better thier supporting cast and more experience they got the better they got. Thier best attributes were between the ears.  Now I'm not saying Bryce is gonna turn into one of them but what I want is for him. Is to have a solid roster around him and some coaching continuity too see if he takes the next step. Because everything I've seen and read after the benching is that his mental toughness and workethic are what we need in a QB
    • Many criticize our picks in 2024. I believe that most of them were picked because their ceiling is better than those selected before them.  XLs needs to learn how to play in the NFL. Once he gets up to speed he'll be worthy of 32nd pick.  Brooks, showed why we took him in the few games he played. The ACL injury really sucks but he can overcome these setbacks. Remember TD had 3 ACLs and eventually will be in the ring of honor one day.  Wallace will be a solid LB going forward with experience  Sanders, TE is a tough position to play. He a getting valuable playing time and will become a good TE.  Going down the remaining draft pics all seem to have a good upside. They may not be showing much now but they will start showing their worth next season.
