The problem with a lot of the people on this forum is they decide on a position, say OL, and they just want the next guy on the list and that isn't how teams work.  At 8 we are going to pick a guy with a top 10 grade (or most teams do) not some guy who should go 19.

I definitely don't mind trading down depending on how the board looks, but I would also consider a CB or Safety if I felt like there was a top 10 talent there.

Burrow for sure, but he's going #1. Tua's a huge wildcard with his injury issues so who knows there. There's not another QB I'd take in the top 10. 

On the DL, Chase Young for sure, but he's going top 2 or 3. Derrick Brown for sure IMO. Epenesa looked damn good in his bowl game. Javon Kinlaw?

On the OL, there's Andrew Thomas and Tristan Wirfs IMO.

No way all those guys are gone at #8. There's almost certainly gonna be a WR (or two), a CB, and a LB at least in the mix before we're on the clock.

Realistically, Young, Burrow, and Tua are going to be gone.  So if we are looking at lineman, Thomas and Brown are our best shots.  The others could probably trade down for.  CB and WR, maybe S will be the value at 8 if Thomas and Brown are off the board.

I'm sold on Wirfs. Not quite sold on Kinlaw or Epenesa just quite yet. I want to see Epenesa's workouts. His motor is unquestionable, I'm just not seeing a lot of explosiveness out of him. But, if we're going 3-4, he does fit that 3-4 DE mold really well. I'm not sold on him having the juice to play DE or the bulk to play DT in a 4-3.

Resign- James Bradberry, Gerald McCoy, Tre Boston, Mario Addison, Van Roten (as Norwell back up)

Cut- Mike Davis, Donte Mocrief, Graham Gano 

Retire- Probably Greg

Personally I think Brown might end up being our best realistic option at 7, as far as need and value.

Okay, it wasn't quite as impressive as I thought on replay. Two of the Texas OL basically just got caught up in the carnage of Fotu trying to beat the Texas QB to death using his own OG as a bat, but still... cotdamn that guy looks like what we sorely lacked this year.
