They have a lot of young talent that needs to be signed. MT was the first and he got a monster deal. It’s obviously still possible but brees is known to not take hometown discounts. He forced their hand before signing his previous two year deal. His contract expires this year and they haven’t extended him already.

In fairness, they usually just redo his contract in the offseason when he decides what his move will be. I suspect he will be back for 1-2 more seasons. At some level, I have always suspected that he wants to stick around simply longer than Brady so he can retire with all the records he has.

I figured it was the good one because the other one is a delusional homer. Usually that kind of homer disappears once any heat can come back on him. Just like we won't see him here once the Taints choke out of the playoffs.

That rule isn't changing.

Brown likely believes the NFL is going to exonerate him. I'm not so sure that's the case, but it's possible.

The Saints might be looking at this as a "future" contract.

Yeah it’s possible. I think he could also retire if they win it all this year.
