We went to the trouble of firing Ron Rivera with 4 games left to get a jump start on interviews and it only yielded Mike McCarthy?

It’s given our franchise 4 additional weeks to do research. Interviewing for the sake of interviewing is not an efficient process..regardless of its your own career or looking for an NFL career. Once the interviewing “season” starts, we will be well ahead in terms of who we want. Target marketing baby.

I dont care if the only interview was Ron's exit interview.  Row Boat deserved to be fired.  He got fired.  Hurney is still handing out $50mm contracts to RB's and LB's.  That's something to be pissed about.

 

PS:  I just wanted to come back to say the only thing I regret about Ron's firing is that it didn't happen on the field.  I would have paid just to see Ron get the phone call from Tepper in the booth with a nice "You're fired," click.

Tepper fires Rivera to make sure the Panthers season crashed and burned for the draft spot. Rivera would have still coached to win and I think it’s clear now he was coaching up the team quit a bit.

interviews were never gonna really start until after this weekend. If you were expecting more beforehand you don’t know football. We aren’t even allowed to ask to interview people until after the regular season ends. Lol

Can't interview employed coaches until their byes or their season is over. Dude has probably lined up all the interviews with agents for Greg Roman, McDaniels, Bienemy, etc. for when they have byes or when their season finally ends.

Because Tepper is a standup guy and he didn't want to be doing anything behind Riverboat's back.

I'm sure he's interviewed college coaches but those don't get leaked to the media for obvious reasons.
