Could burns not play 4-3 olb?

All of those teams have been drafting 1st round studs who finally put it all together. You have not been paying attention. We don’t have talent on the dline regardless of 34 or 43

Yea,this makes the most sense to me. we have the DTs. Let Irvin walk, unfortunately. Hope burns can hold down one DE spot and get a prototypical 43 DE to pair with him. Even if they run at burns, I like our D with Luke in the middle behind those DTs. Poe has already done both D’s he can hang around. I remember having the thought in preseason that Christian Miller looked like a 4-3 LB. try him as LB#3 and sub in Cockrell in the nickel.

Get a legit D End and this is a top 10 defense, even if we don’t improve at safety.

I dont think you mess with a guy that played the first 5 games or more as well as he did. You guys expect to transfer to the 34 in one year, I got news, in general it takes more then 1 year to transfer to anything. The 34 is more dangerous and tricky, I dont see us switching back, I could be wrong. Our issue was no depth at NT....draft the best one in the draft and then draft a raw one later and it will fix our issues. I promise with the dt issues we had this year the 43 would have been gashed almost as bad. A NT, a guard, a center and another NT. FA or Draft.

I never saw KK play a snap with Allen this year. So yes it made it hard to SEE THAT!

Dontari Poe is literally a 3-4 NT that also played NT in the 4-3.

Kawann Short can play 3-4 DE and 4-3 UT (with the ability to also play DE on passing downs).

Christian Miller, Brian Burns, and Marquis Haynes are all 3-4 OLBs that can play 4-3 DEs on passing downs.

All of these guys are under contract thru next season. We are in a position to run a hybrid defense. We need to restock the DL, regardless of the front.

What facts, your probably one of those guys that thinks the whole defense sucks and kuechly played bad this year, its asinine.

      I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.

      The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
