Article also points out momentum and all indications of Newton staying in spite of "sourzez". Which is the logical point anyone who has been watching the past few weeks would have come to. You Benched Allen, tanking his value. You cant turn back to him. And Grier....lol

From the article you linked.

The question that matters is how much does the next coach of the Panthers believe in Newton and do they want him to be their franchise QB going forward? Whoever they hire should give us a clue as to his plans.

This quote is incorrect in my opinion.  The question that matters is can Cam get healthy.  If so, then yes we should keep him and sign him to a long term contract.  If not, then we shouldn't.  Unfortunately for us, the answer not likely to be clear.  In terms of signing/keeping Cam, its probably irrelevant who the new coach is.

I’m sorry, I’d love for Cam to stay, and encouragingly it looks like this is entirely possible, perhaps even likely, but on its face Fewell’s statement comes across as extremely disingenuous. Here’s why:

Try and divorce yourself from whatever emotional attachment you have to Cam or the Panthers and pretend Fewell was speaking as the interim coach of another team with a different franchise qb.

If said interim coach said about the team’s 30 year old franchise qb who had failed to finish the past 2 seasons due to significant injuries and was going into the last year of his contract and the only HC he’d ever had had just been let go “I’m not sure why he would be leaving.” You would absolutely regard him as either full of poo or unbelievably naive. It’s just not credible or believable that a person in such a position couldn’t see why a qb in that situation might not be be back with the team. Say you think it’s likely he’ll be back or that you’re optimistic of his return, but don’t try to sell me on the idea you can’t even see the possibility of his leaving, that’s pissing on my leg and telling me it’s raining.

I dont usually do the grammar thing, cause lord knows I'm no wordsmith. But its Moot not Mute and Toe not Tow.

Unless the coaches are really quiet and "company" is actually a boat with engine problems. Hmmmm. That actually might make sense...

If the current head coach of the Carolina Panthers isnt credible plz tell me who is? Who can we trust?

Interim Head Coach. Rivera wasn’t exactly trustworthy early in the year about the extent of Cam’s injuries, and he was the full-on head coach. Trust whoever you want. I’m just waiting until next year to see what happens.

I mean if you dont like the information from someone who has as much insight into the situation as any report or "sources" you can always scream fake news. But then when "sources"says he'd gone you just eat that up and applaud the decision. Nevermind what those close to the situation are saying.

"Well they probably wouldn't tell him anyway" when you talk in indefinites your already leaving dout in your statement and saying it's a possibility he could have access to said information.

I’ve never gone on here and said a “source’s” word is gospel. Nor would I applaud news that Cam is gone. It’s weird that you take this as an anti-Cam post.

”Probably” is the best word to use in this situation because nothing is definitive yet.

Oh, well if the interim coach is saying it then that makes me feel a lot better.

His opinion holds a lot more weight than urs to be fair. His interim status does out weigh your ummm... roaringriot press pass. No disrespect I rather enjoy the riot for what it's worth.
