consider the QB talent Mike McCarthy had.....and the little he accomplished?

No thanks.  Plenty of coaches would have walked away with more IMO.

He had a guy named Jake once, though I'm pretty sure that's not who you're referring to.

He does at least have a friend in the building.

No matter where he ends up, McCarthy doesn't envision a total teardown. ("I'm not a believer in [that]," he said. "I think every one of these opportunities that will be available, there's resources in there that you have to make sure you're aware of and try to utilize.") He wants to better use technology and analytics. ("We were definitely on the average side at best in my time in Green Bay there. I've looked at every team in the league and their commitment to analytics, and football technology and video. Because everybody has analytics, but it has to be part of your everyday operation to show up on Sundays.") At the forefront of the program will be player wellness, including dedicated resources for mental health. ("You have to develop the locker room from every possible angle. It can't be a subcontractor. It needs to be part of your everyday operation.")

Maybe not a "total teardown", but it could mean significantly retooling on both sides of the ball.

Pretty sure McCarthy had a 3-4 defense back in Green Bay. That probably isn't gonna sit well with people who want us to go back to 4-3. Likely isn't exactly great news for Luke Kuechly either.

On the offensive side, implementing a WCO would probably require a fair amount of retooling. McCaffrey and Moore would fit but a lot of others wouldn't. Given the struggle we saw from switching systems on the other side of the ball this past season, that's likely to go over like a lead balloon as well.

I still think Luke is fine in any defense.   If you suck up front in a 4-3 or 3-4 Luke is going to be negatively impacted.

Smh

Dont get it.

Luke's fine in a 3-4.  Looked fine with a semi healthy DL to start the season.

Get the most stereotypical MLB 250+ guy (here's a hint 85% of 3-4 MLB are the same size as Luke) and they'll still struggle behine the DL.
