2011 Packers offense was way better than any offense Reid ever coached until last year and is one of the best, most efficient passing offenses of all time.  They were consistently top five and he’s a BIG reason why Rodgers is as good as he is/was.  Rodgers’ mechanics were putrid coming out of Cal

I don’t see any reason for him to not be thought of as highly as Reid and the hate he gets on here is ridiculous.  Sometimes a coach and a team need to separate.  Philly was horrible in Reid’s last year with him and obviously that didn’t make him a bad coach 

McCarthy isn’t my top choice but he’s a very good head coach who would help make us competitive

So playing golf with some snowbirds this morning who are Minnesota alums who are down for the outback bowl.

One a die hard vikings fan/season ticket holder.

One a older die hard Cheese head.

 

Both shockingly said we should hire McCarthy.  Said would be a homerun hire.  Said the last few season was issues with Rogers, and said Rogers was a egotistical **** and would have issues with any coach.  Said Panthers fans would hate the hire but itd be like Andy Reid going to the chiefs.

 

 

Reguarding the young Vikings OC.

The Vikings fan laughed and said no one is a fan of his.  Just the national media hyped him.  He wants us to hire him to get him out of Minnesota.  Greenbay guys wants to keep him for reason stated above

Didn’t say that he wouldn’t. I just thought the comparison to Andy was disingenuous. He has a track record with multiple qbs, multiple teams with crazy offensive production.

IMO Andy Reid is the GOAT QB coach. It's ridiculous how many GREAT QBs he's connected to and how many bad QBs looked viable under him. It's not coincidence.

Don't want McCarthy because the following:

• No Head Coach in NFL history has won a Super Bowl with more than one team.
• McCarthy was blasted on numerous occasions for not being a good game manager of time/situations (sound familiar?)
• McCarthy held onto a coordinator who was bad for years (Capers) for continuity purposes (sound familiar?)
• Dude was constantly outcoached when it mattered most (Sound familiar)
• He took the foot off the gas on numerous occasions which lead to teams coming back and beating him (Sound familiar?)
• Dude had Aaron Jones as his running back and had no idea how to use him. Imagine what he would do with CMC. Shades of Mike Martz with Greg Olsen in Chicago come to mind.

Do I think he would be the worst hire? No.

Do I think it would be more of the same BS that we were trying to get away from by firing Rivera? Yes, very much so.

This may be true, but before a coach is actually hired several names will be linked to us. It's too early to be locked in on anyone

Starting to think it's going to be McCarthy as well. Too many signs pointing to it, letting Rivera go so we could get a jump on him since he's able to be interviewed, etc. At first thinking hell no, he's an offensive Rivera, but starting to warm up to it being more of an Andy Reid type situation

U can say GB is 12-3 but they have had a easy schedule. Their offense has not looked great, and Rodgers has been straight up trash this year. If not for Jones they wouldn't be in the playoffs

Straight up trash? He certainly seems to be transitioning from an elite QB into more of a game manager type QB, but straight up trash? He's still completing almost 64% of his passes while on track for just shy of 4000 passing yards and has 24 TDs vs only 3 INTs. That's a far cry from straight up trash.

I will take that kind of trash. If Rodgers is trash.....what are Kyle and Will?
