We're going to hit our lowest point as a fan base since the final game of 2001 on Sunday

patriots fans didn't take over that game in 2001. i was there. it was a completely miserable day where it was like raining sideways.

it was so quiet we could hear from the other side of the field a random patriots player screaming "PACK THE fuging UHAUL" which didn't make sense to me at the time and still doesn't.

the only reason we stayed as long as we did is my dad started shitting his guts out at the beginning of the fourth quarter and was camped out in one of the family bathrooms so i just went back and sat down

Watching the Panthers tends to do that to people.

1. Hardly any Panthers fans will be at the game.

2. The Saints still have something to play for.

3. Sean Payton gets hard thinking about humiliating his opponents.

4. The Panthers have quit like I haven't seen them quit since 2001.

All that adds up to the Saints' fans (who don't even have much of a presence in Charlotte and who don't travel all that well) still managing to take over our stadium. I can already see it now: trailing 49-3 with 5 minutes left in the game, all Saints fans move down to the vacated seats by the field and starting chanting WHO DAT while Michael Thomas flexes on the sideline, Cam Jordan puts on a Santa hat and points at Saints fans, the team gathers for a team photo on the sidelines. It's going to be like that infamous 2001 finale vs. New England when the exact same thing happened.

Have fun!

Yeah I was at that game in 2001. That was not much fun.

Speaking of taking over games..............did you see the Raider fans at the Chargers game?

I have never in my life seen such a dominance by a visiting team..........all the seats where covered in a sea of Black and Silver. There were only a few scattering of Charger blue jersey's around.

What a huge mistake to yank the Chargers out of San Diego where they had a loyal fan based and put them in a town along with the Rams where neither of those teams alone would carry a following..........

Yeah, it was really dumb to try to put two teams in LA when LA has previously failed to support even one. At least the Rams have an LA history to draw on, plus the fact that they went to the SB last year. The Chargers deserve to lose their entire fanbase over the stunt they pulled.

this isn't like 2001 to me at all.  that team never quit.  weinke just sucked.  that team fought every week.   i was at the last game too that year

The fact a team was trying and went 1-15 is worse than any record from a team who gave up.

dont fret, they are moving into a new stadium next year so instead of having 35,000 opposing fans cheering at them they will have 70,000. such a disaster, the chargers are the NFL version of a homeless guy.

Cam didn’t carry the 2015 team by himself. We had a healthy OL that played to a top 2 ranking (behind Cowboys) and we had a defense that led the league in turnovers by a wide margin. Cam had a great season and deserved the MVP, but the OL and D played a gigantic part.

We were #1 in scoring yet we had the 24th ranked passing offense by yards, the 11th ranked total offense by yards and the 13th ranked total offense by yards per play. We were really efficient at scoring and the defense set us up better than any other team. We were 2nd in yards per play on defense and 1st in takeaways with 6 more than 2nd.

Cam was fantastic but he had a lot of help. Watching this year makes you realize how far the D has fallen the past two years and how far away we are from being a top D.

Maybe not 15 but there are other years...we also went 15 and 1 in 2015 so that's pretty special and alot to do with cam pushing the team over the edge to wins. I personally dont think we are so far away from being a top D, we have great lbs but no interior depth whatsoever. A good NT in the draft to keep keek clean will go a long way...

You must’ve closed your eyes pretty tight from kickoff to final whistle then. That team blew a 21-0 lead to a tanking buffalo and lost 22-21. That is quitting.
