Fox showed him on their pregame giving  Christmas presents to all his offensive linemen.

That’s odd. I’m told CMC doesn’t care about his record. “Can’t polish a turd” or some nonsense. The truth is the 1000/1000 season probably means a lot to the dude. He’s close to having one of the greatest seasons at his position of all time and he’s only in his 3rd season.

He has a legitimate shot of going down as the most versatile RB of all time at this current pace. Pretty awesome to see. Along with Smitty winning the Triple Crown and Cam setting the rushing TD record for a QB, we have some awesome records for a relatively young franchise

Dont forget Pep’s sacks which is like 3rd all time.

Squandering generational talent is what the Panthers do best.

It’s easy to feel this way, but how many teams have won a super bowl in the last decade?

As fans and as athletes (anyone competitive) it’s easy to say it’s all pointless because we have never won. But the same can be said for most teams and athletes. The Lions and Cardinals have wasted Calvin Johnson and Fitzgerald. Chargers and Vikings wasted Tomlinson and Adrian Peterson. Tony Gonzalez is one of the greatest Tight Ends ever...

just because they didn’t win the big one doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate their talent or take pride in the fact they represented your team. It’s still awesome to have those guys as part of your history

We haven't just failed to win the big one. We're a sub-.500 organization that has never even put together back to back winning seasons. We've had an embarrassment of talent come through this organization for that to be the case.

its funny greg ragging on the organization when his guy ron's staff is so pitiful

I agree. I just think it’s hard for them and I predicted as much before we fired Ron. As fans, we don’t have a personal relationship with him. It’s all business and it was obvious he could no longer get it done here.

But every player loved Ron. Look at Luke’s comments after he was sacked. I think some of the guys took it pretty personally and feel they were all wrongly done in some way.

I don’t disagree with you. It’s a shame we haven’t done better.

But we have also made two Super Bowls in the last 15 years. Without actually researching it, I bet we are only 1 of maybe 10-11 teams to have multiple appearances to the big dance out of 32?

It sucks we haven’t won and it sucks we suck this season. But let’s not get caught up in only focusing on the negatives. For as bad as this season is, we have some awesome talent here now. We have a pretty young franchise that has been far more successful than the other recent teams (Jaguars, Texans etc)

Theres plenty to be proud of about this team and there’s no harm in being excited about the good things. Probably something we could use a bit more of around here

they did love him, but not in the right kind of way to win football games.  they loved that around here its not business as usual, its family and vets first and going out on your own terms.   they loved, when you think about it, that its not about winning under ron.

    • Few things, I don't care about what happens to Bryce as long as we win. However, During the two years Bo Nix was with Oregon, they were among the best teams in the country. Also, Bo really only had one year of elite production. For most of his career, he was an average, almost undrafted-level talent. Had he entered the 2022 draft, he likely would have been a second or third-day pick, despite being older than Bryce.
    • and while it will change in the NIL era, Bryce is from the Bama/OSU/UGA issue era.  Those QBs played on the best rosters in all of college football.  Bama essentially being the best.  And the gap is MASSIVE vs other teams.   It's why there has been such consistency with how those QBs faired once they wren't protected/masked by such a massive talent gap in the competition.
    • It's bc BC can back up two spots, so if Mays or Ickey goes down he could fill both.
