Draft Position

Shocker

We can't go wrong with any of the following (my fear:  Justin Herbert will be on the board):

  • Burrow (Bengals)
  • Chase Young (Skins?)
  • Andrew Thomas (Detroit?)
  • Jeffrey Okudah (CB)
  • Derrick Brown (DT)
  • Jerry Jeudy (WR)
  • Tua Tagovailoa (QB--Miami at #5 is the critical position)

If we pick 8th, which is starting to look realistic, these players could be gone by our selection. However, if any of them are there, I would take him.

All the players will be gone by pick 8...remember this is the huddle.

We need interior linemen on both sides of the ball. I believe we should go all in on the 3-4 transition and draft lineman there. Bring in a Nose Tackle (free agency) and draft a DT. However, a shut down CB and/or LT wouldn’t  be bad. I believe we have enough weapons on offense. The issue seems more scheme based IMO

Just saw someone on twitter post that the Cowboys should trade Prescott after he signs his mega contract to the Panthers for Cam and our 1st round pick.lmao!

I was thinking would Carolina be interested in Prescott  if they trade Cam and got a young QB to groom for a few years before rushing them out into the big bad world of the NFL, but he might not throw the INT's as Kyle did but I wonder if his arm is any better than Cam's.  He missed some open passes badly but his receivers were dropping his passes like hot potatoes some weren't his fault, but not give up a 1st rounder...no damn way.

If we’re picking at 6 or 8, IMO I don’t want a DT. If we’re picking that high we need to go LT, pass rusher or QB. Period. If Tua falls to us, I think he will be our pick. I guess it all really hinges on Cams status.

I fully believe there are no true LT worth a top 10 pick in this draft. Smith for Dallas was the last tackle off the top of my head with the athletic ability worth a top 10 pick...hard to find that these days. Derrick Brown is the way to go.

and Ill articulate It this way...if we stopped the run this season, we are a 9-7 to 10-6 team.

I would think at the 8th spot we would have a shot at Tua if he slips a few spots.

Oh yes the draft is very unpredictable he’ll definitely drop some that injury is s major concern. Also, with our line we might as well just size him for a wheel chair in all reality you can throw away his hip the way they block. But I’m sure O line is about to become a priority.

Not sure if Miami will draft a QB. People forget they will have a boatload of money to spend in FA and they are in a nice location like South Beach.

They could throw money at Bridgewater and go in a different direction in the draft.

It’s such a changing and unpredictable event I’ve watched the draft closely for years. This seems like the more sensible idea for A NE decedent. Solid vet QB maybe Cam to be honest with an electric defense Chase Young with extra additions coached up by a Defensive mind seems more logical then a rookie qb taking you anywhere. Looks like the only teams ahead of us now are Cin and LA that would go QB (assuming they move on from Rivers)

You think the Dolphins would trade for Cam?

As long as our pick is in the trenches, I'm good.

Derrick Brown is my pick if I had the chance, but it could just as easily be argued that any of the OTs would be equally as beneficial to our success. Epenesa is also a guy that could blow some away between now and draft day.....6'6" & 280 and explosive off the edge.

I'll wait until the combine to see which of Wills/Wirfs/Thomas puts up better workouts and pro days to see who I prefer. I like each one for different reasons.

If Okudah slides, it would be interesting too. He is a true lockdown CB1 and the thought of Bradberry-Okudah-Jackson would be a nasty secondary.

Please say no to any QB in R1. Now, in R2... Jalen Hurts wouldn't be a bad option - but no to Hebert, Love, etc.
