The first job I ever had waiting tables was at the Mom’s in Boone while in school. There were several guys in the kitchen who were middle aged adults that had never left Watauga county in their lives. The narrowness of their life experience was frightening. We’re not all gonna be huge successes in life, but anybody can get out and broaden their horizons a bit if they just try.
