I liked Grier's pocket presence better than Kyle and minus a couple of great plays by the Indy CB, thought he took reasonably good care of the ball(his other pick was Allen-esque). He showed some pretty good ability to extend plays with his mobility, as well. Overall I'd say he still looks like a third string NFL QB but he wasn't atrocious.

he still took 5 sacks despite the pocket presence, scary to think what it would have been if not for his scrambling, heh.

he really struggled to complete passes beyond ~10 yards down the field.  he almost had a nice deep completion to Olsen but that was, imo, his only good throw down the field.

but his pocket movement was nice, he did a good job of extending plays & drives with his legs, so I hope he can improve for next game

A TD would be nice. The coaches did fug him on that though.

He probably won't be much more successful because there is little reason to start DJ, which robs him of his biggest WR threat. The next game is just about getting CMC into the 1000/1000 club. Really, nothing else should even matter, TBH.

We didn’t call sneaks with Cam Newton in those situations earlier this season. No, we wait until we have tiny little Grier in to see if he can push the line back a yard lol

I was amused they lined up McCaffrey at WR every time we got in the red zone. That formation led to sacks and incompletions almost every time, but why should we be surprised? We did something that worked from our 25 to their 15 and then we bailed on it and got cute trying to reinvent the wheel in the red zone. 

My biggest gripe with the Turners is definitely their red zone playcalling. It’s been an issue for quite some time and it doesn’t help any quarterback.
