With less than two weeks left in 2019, was it good to you?

Good? Bad? Different description?

For me, 2018 was without a doubt the worst year of my 32 years on this earth. I hope that no worse year ever happens for me. (I have also heard many others say that 2018 sucked for them).

2019 has been very interesting. Lots of extremely different life changes with many goals reached. Though, I would not call it a good year like the kind that makes you feel all warm inside and puts a smile on your face when you think about it, though maybe it should.

So how about you? Whats 2019 been like for you?

This was the worst in my 39yr on this planet

Health:  Everyone is 100% healthy. WHAT TRULY MATTERS

Relationship - A L M O S T got Divorced

Finances: Took major loses, Cash down,  Debt skyrocketed.

I can't  f*cking wait to toast a end to this miserable piece of sh*t 2019

Similar misfortunes for me in 2018, minus health with kidney stones.

Go outside with one minute left, and while the fireworks are nice and loud you make sure to cuss 2019 as loud as you can.

Mock it, make fun of it for never having to power to show its ugly face again.

Laugh at it, taunt it.

I gave 2018 a nice hateful rant as it left.

Pros: Watched the Saints lose the NFCCG in NOLA while there for my bachelor party, got married, went on a sweet honeymoon, bought a house, advanced my career, and played some cool shows.

Cons: My mom almost died and spent 2 months in the hospital.

With the trend of everyone naming their achievements:

I sealed the chapter on my military career, permanently.

I landed a new job that pays over twice what I was making in the Army, and I have already been promoted since starting in June.

I finished the requirements for a Bachelors.

My children are making all A's.

My wife got a part-time job.

I have not consumed one drop of alcohol for the entire year of 2019.

I am sure there is more, but this year has just been such a wild spin of events that it is hard to feel accomplished.

Got married, built a house, got the wife pregnant and found out yesterday that we're having a boy come June 1. Health has been good (minus some weight gain that I am fully blaming on my wife as sympathy weight) and life is good.

Sorry for your crappy year.

2019's been ok. Started off well (i.e. finally figured out what to do about my troubled marriage via counseling), lost 10 lbs & got into good running shape. Then it began to suck big time around Summer time (i.e. had a bad car wreck b/c of a seizure, lost my driving privilege for months, had a bad emotional breakdown, got into arguments with ex-wife & family), then finished the year with a thumbs up (i.e. began exercising again, spent more time with friends, finally divorced & went back to counseling).

So again, I'd say 2019's been ok. Not as bad as '11 or '17, possibly my two worst years. But not the greatest either. I'm not where I want to be in life, but I've figured what to do about it. That's definitely a plus.

Great year for me compared to the last.

Last year on my way to my sarcoidosis diagnosis ( immune disorder ) they thought I had lymphoma.  Took like 5 months of all kinds of testing, biopsies, you name it to get it figured out.  Felt like I was walking around with a loaded gun to the back of my head.

I have learned that if you make it out with your health and family it was a good year.  To hell with monetary things.
