Lol don’t lump Scot in with those two. He just latches on to anything they speculate on and serves it up as argumentative fact.

there have been several instances where they have been dead wrong about “insider” information.

Also- Tepper literally just said last week he wants healthy Cam.

I didn't say I think that, I was speaking generally on what some other people might potentially think. But really the only thing I can say is wait and see.  No point in discussing further. Can't tell me I'm wrong now!

3 guys that post here which is what everyone thought. Insane that everyone is supposed to instantly believe them while the owner and player says different. And this is coming from a guy who is firmly in the if we get an amazing deal you trade him camp.

nothing the owner has said actually disagrees with the insiders.  the insiders have largely said the team isn't sure Cam can ever be the same player again and this means they are unlikely to keep him.  but all of the insiders are careful to say the situation could change.  and RoaringRiot is incredibly far from a Cam hater.  he has no benefit with that information getting out.

edit: And Igo has said the team knows how big a loss it would be if Cam didn't come back ,at a number of levels.  I don't think anyone is moving on from Cam without careful consideration.

Totally agree on @RoaringRiot what he said in All-Pro is 1000% different then what Scot is presenting in the main forum. That’s the big disconnect on that front Riot said he heard this but it’s fluid AND the franchise wouldn’t just move on to move on and they know how much Cam means to the organization. That is totally different than done deal, he’s gone. Why that can’t be said like how it is in all-pro I don’t have an answer for.

And Tepper sounds like he wants to keep him health pending which can be said for any NFL player, he’ll professional athlete. That is once again totally different than he is already gone.

No one has said it was a done deal.  Where did that come from?

Yeah, except I've never said "done deal, he's gone".

But as mentioned, it's easier to debate against an argument you deliberately mischaracterize than the actual argument.

Scot all the time. Then when asked where the info was coming from it was always “sources”. Oh and those same people discrediting what Tepper and Cam themselves said. This situation can change overnight and every night until next season it’s a who knows and that’s what most are trying to say. Problem is not everyone is saying that (some on both sides)

Why would you never mention the part about the franchise knows how much Cam means and won’t move on unless they have too? That’s a HUGE quote that lends to it being fluid and not decided yet. Yet you’ve never once mentioned that or said that strange no?

tbqh I have not seen Mr. Scot presenting it as a done deal that Cam would be gone, as much as strong pessimism Cam would be back.  But I also honestly do not pay attention to everyone's posts so I may be missing those stated with more certainty.

I agree Tepper wants Cam back if he is healthy.  But Tepper's words have been chosen carefully there IMO.  I do hope Cam is back, and I'm not going to pretend to have any sources in this, but I can understand concern on the part of the owner that Cam may not be able to handle a full season of QBing at a high level right now.  We'll see.

This is where it all falls apart for you.

Please post a handful of posts where Scot said anything 100%.  I see a lot of nuance, a lot of "I thinks", a lot of speculation, but never have I seen a "my insiders said that Cam will be playing elsewhere next season".  You are seeing what you want to see.

There are FAR too many variables right now, not only with the QB situation, but the entire team in general.  Anyone who is posting definitives is being naive, or has an agenda.

Oh 100% understand Tepper waiting and seeing. It’s a multi-billion dollar purchase. You weigh everything and take what helps beat the team. Which is why I said if we get a king’s ransom, you trade him while you can. If we get an offer of a 2nd rounder then let it ride and see what we got with him for middle of the pack QB money

@thefuzz when the guy says no matter what comes out or what Cam says the situation won’t change means it’s already a predetermined outcome. That’s not debatable, you can claim it’s him saying that Cam’s comments won’t “sway” Tepper but in reality it sets a precedent that Tepper has his mind made up and nothing will stop it.

https://www.carolinahuddle.com/2017/03/13/carolina-panthers-buffalo-bills-tre-boston/

"Now this morning there appears to be whispers of an unnamed team wanting to trade for Tre Boston. I would bet at least one dollar that it is again Sean McDermott wanting now a defensive player from his system in Buffalo. Boston has played both safety positions in McDermott’s defense and would be a huge asset for him as the team learns the requirements of the new scheme.

But what would the Carolina Panthers demand in trade for Boston? Although he failed to perform at a high level, Boston still adds value as a solid backup when needed. For that type of player, I would assume at least a 4th round draft pick would be needed to pry him away. After all, it is no guarantee that a 4th round player ever develops into a backup player in the NFL.

Stay tuned as this situation develops this week."

Igo was literally the only person reporting this.

It’s really weird to take what these guys have said in public as a sign of what their future intentions are. First, Tepper has only ever said a “healthy Cam”. He said it eight times that week in an interview. Those lines aren’t hard to read between for that to be part of your key evidence that he’s staying. And of course Cam is going to say he wants to be here. Remember when Kemba said he’d take less money to stay here? Have you all just started watching sports? That’s almost always what the athlete says. These guys aren’t going to show their hands in public until they have to. There is a VERY legit chance that he isn’t here next year. Both sides are making preparations. And that should have all the Cam lovers, me included, fuging worried. I’m sorry that you guys can’t handle that truth without ripping me, Igo, or whoever. But that’s your problem.
