My questions about Cam had primarily to do with the system he played in. I never questioned his character. Hell, I didn't even care about the laptop story.

I said the criticism about Cam wasn't all race based, and it wasn't.

Newton turned out to be a pretty good quarterback, but not a perfect one. There were, and still are, legitimate criticisms again. Likewise, there are stupid people who attribute every suggestion that he might need improvement to racism.

It's tiring, and ridiculous.

People turn to the race thing when it becomes deeper then he throws high and makes bad decisions sometimes. People turned to the race thing with you because you called him a fuging liar with no basis or proof to do so.

Because I didn't think it was racist. If it were race-based, then every black quarterback would have been savaged. As it was, they had good things to say even about guys like JaMarcus Russell and Josh Freeman.

it also helps to understand that his draft previews weren't all his information. He took statements from a number of scouts, personnel people, etc.

The guy who did it before him was the fella named Joel Buchsbaum who did more of his own scouting. He was better.

When Newton says he'd like to stay in Charlotte, I have no doubt that's true.

I would point out though that doesn't mean that's what's ultimately going to happen.

Jalen Ramsey might have really wanted to stay in Jacksonville, Le'Veon Bell in Pittsburgh, Antonio Brown in Oakland, etc.
