it isn't a smokescreen....people claimed he was doing that w/ the QB situation and he wasn't.

Fox will stay w/ Godfrey. He has been riding Godfrey and his horrible play for awhile now...... Same reason Jake started AZ is why Godfrey will be back on the field.

Yeah I would not be surprised if that were the case. The only thing going against Fox this time is that we have proof that the backup is marginally better and it was proven in one game whereas Matt Moore hasn't shown much to warrant a switch (at least in the Panthers eyes).

yes, but that doesn't explain why Godfrey attacks a ball carrier like a 12 year old little girl and flings his lifeless body at there feet....having zero impact. Also doesn't explain why he is always not where he is suppose to be....

Fox is pretty stubborn but if he keeps Godfrey in the lineup, that will certainly decrease our chances of beating the Saints.

well, the reason we picked him was to not do what he did Sunday. I mean, Fox clearly thought the kid should be a CB and the S experiment only occured b/c Fox had his arm twisted.....a lot of good normally is seen when Fox is forced to do what most think he should have already done weeks prior.

Trust me, I'm with you. And I'm not trying to discredit the awesome game that Martin played, but rather just saying that Godfrey hasn't played behind a pass rush like that yet this year.

I definitely want to see Martin start next week.

It makes you wonder--if everyone was low on Martin playing his unnatural position (CB), and then he excelled being moved to his natural position (S)--could the same be done for Godfrey? Or has making him play safety for the first time under two different schemes in two years wrecked his potential?

Yea, I thought the same thing. Maybe Godfrey doesn't see the field well enough for playing safety. But like others have pointed out, he hit's like a girl. Speaking of which, did anyone else head ring after that hit Harris had yesterday?

Godfrey is a little dumb and can't tackle...so tell me why has he been starting for so long?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Godfrey starting at all. Nor would I be surprised to see Martin out there a whole lot, no matter who starts the game.

You don't lose your starting job because you're hurt.
