Jason La Canfora speculated that he might have "a front office role" with the Panthers but he might not be ready to be a GM just yet.

Also mentioned Bills OC Brian Daboll as someone "definitely getting looked at" for the head coaching spot. His Patriots background helps as Tepper is very much enamored with all things Patriots right now.

Hard pass on Daboll. That offense in Buffalo is gross.

Not my favorite candidate either, but apparently an option.

His past connections to Belichick and Saban probably factor in to that.

I just looked at his previous stints as OC in the league. He's never had an offense with a DVOA higher than 20. 2nd to last twice in his 6 years as an OC!

I'm surprised Bills fans aren't calling for a new OC at this point..

A 17 year stretch with no playoffs probably doesn't contribute to high standards.

Why is he riskier? He has real NFL experience and is working his way up the ladder. Just wondering.

Typically professional athletes lack the type of business acumen/skill set needed to be GM. He could do it tho I know nothing of Morgans ability to manage cap, negotiate contracts, find FAs, build a winning NFL team, etc.

Lol yeah I forgot that.

I think that was kinda where the disconnect started.

Some people probably also don't appreciate that he pumped up Bobby Wagner over Luke Kuechly a few times, but given that he was working for the Seahawks at the time, well...

I remember him getting pretty upset when he posted in here for a while. Can't blame him though. People were being pretty douchey with him.

It’s not just that. Fans can’t talk like fans with these guys. How do you think Luke would respond to people talking absolute poo on here about Cam, Kyle Allen, Donte Jackson, Trai Turner etc?

The same for Morgan when people would pour it on Jake, Ricky Manning, Colin Branch etc.

To us these are athletes we are fans of but to them they are brothers spending time with each other 6 days a week. They go to work together, travel together, room together through camps.

Hard to see the same “Kyle Allen sucks so bad omfg lmfao” or “Jake is trash” over and over when you personally have a relationship with the guy

We forget these guys are humans sometimes. That’s something they always have in perspective
