Josh Gordon suspended again

I must’ve been called an idiot for not wanting him 20 plus times on here by the more ‘woke huddlers’ I would estimate

“so you are contact with mediocre WRs then? That’s why this franchise never wins” etc

I also insisted Gordon was a bang average WR and that DJ was as 3 times the player he is now...

where ya’ll at?

For someone who thinks weed is generally harmless and supports legalization, I recognize he’s epitome of the reasons people are against it. I mean they’re thinking well how fuging harmless can it be if this dude can’t stop doing it for his job/millions of dollars?

Pro legalization people should be pissed imo. What a dumbass.

That's bull because team doctors prescribe opiods that are physically addictive and way worse.

Kelvin Benjamin showed us that even food can be an addiction if you let it.

I’m talking about recreational legalization. Opioids should never be legalized for recreation. And it isn’t bull because what you said had absolutely nothing to do with what I said. I didn’t say anything about comparing alternatives. I said acting stupid when on a drug will give it a bad wrap and if your pro legalization the last thing you need is some dumbass giving it a bad wrap. Has nothing to do with any comparison of another drug.

It’s like when there was a shooting at 420 gathering in Denver. Pro legalization people were pissed because it was a chance to show the masses a harmless drug and people using it responsibly and it literally blew up in their face and made them look stupid. And the masses were watching, as were the important people who make these laws.

Fact is stupid poo like this sets progress BACK.

It simply isn’t as easy to say yea but those were dumb people most don’t act like that. Really ignorant to think in those terms. It’s not about reality it’s about perception.

Some of you wanted this clown. And I said it wasn’t worth the headache.

Not sure how many chances are too many but Gordon has certainly surpassed it.

He wasn't the fans' headache. Now if you were some Panthers administrator or something, I could see you saying it.

I feel for the guy. That sucks, he's obviously dealing with some demons.

And for those who think it's just weed, it wasn't, it was also Xanax and codeine, and apparently he had been using it ever since he was in middle school.

Quote

Gordon told GQ‘s Clay Skipper he first started self-medicating with Xanax, marijuana, and codeine in middle school. He said his initial usage stemmed from social awkwardness, anxiety, feelings of inadequacy, and “adolescent trauma-based fear.” According to Gordon, the drugs helped “numb those nerves so [he could] just function every day.” When he was in seventh grade, Gordon said he took a “whole bar” of Xanax and ended up “nodding off” and “drooling” in class. He said his peers started laughing at him.

“The teacher’s back was turned, and I just kinda raised my hand and asked to go to the restroom real quick,” Gordon told Skipper. “That was my first experience of a high. In 7th grade. And it was to that extent. So I was definitely out of control.”

Like damn, dude's been dealing with this since he was a damn kid.

Nah, but anything enjoyable can be if you have that sort of personality.

I admit I thought he turned over a new leaf. That recent profile on on him sounded like genuine remorse. Sad man.

Oh, he turned over a new leaf alright...probably dozens.

FYI, MLB just DROPPED weed from their banned list.

To sign him bolstering a strong receiving corps, and be headed for a deep run into the playoffs only to watch him be suspended indefinitely for a mistake he’s made over and over, we should ask Seattle fans how little of a headache he is.

If they're smart fans, they're not overly concerned. Smart people knew it was a risk and that the Seahawks FO was just giving it a try. It's not like he was even integrated into the regular flow of the game. They didn't fully invest in Gordon, and I'm sure that was by design. He will be little more than a footnote in Seahawks history---if that.

His departure is causing infinitely more head shakes than head aches. Most NFL fans, including Hawks' fans are simply shaking their head at such a waste of talent because he couldn't get out of his own way.
