uh why would the broncos draft a QB? Even on the mock draft piece it says "Drew Lock has shown promise and Denver would be wise to build around him now that he is healthy."

Aside from this weekend (weather was poo, even mahomes put up pedestrian numbers)  Lock has looked like he can be a good qb.

Small sample size, so it just depends on how convinced they are about him. If Elway believes in him, I'd definitely draft another QB.

He has the arm and height but I am not sure about mental and leadership.

I heard McShay talking about Herbert this morning. Apparently, he's a 'different cat'. He's introverted, and prefers to let the OL do most of the talking. He's not your typical alpha male QB. He'll need to go to a place that understands him and has a strong leader in the huddle like a Smitty or an Olsen.

I don't like any of the QBs from this draft.   Not w/ a top 15 pick.

I'm a little skeptical of the three main ones(Tua, Herbert, Burrow). Tua obviously because of injuries, Herbert because of his rep as being very quiet and introverted, Burrow because of the "one year wonder" success.

That said, if they slipped to us in the 8-12 range, I wouldn't be against taking them, provided they don't start tanking in draft stock after the scouting community starts really honing their evaluations.

I will say that I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Eason from Washington in the 2nd or 3rd.

News flash - Cam Newton was a one year wonder.

yes.  I mean Cam did win a national title at Blinn the year before but.....yeah, he was a one year wonder.  Burrow hasn't even finished out his one year wonder season though.

I think Clemson or Ohio State likely end his one year wonder season on a sour note.  I think the same thing is going to happen this SEC hyped team...as happened last year.

I think the first round should be used to get a real run stuffing d-lineman. And we still don’t know what we have in Grier. Dude could surprise everyone and actually play well.

Unless he is lighting the world on fire over the next two games, I am not sure I would put all my eggs in the Grier basket.
