Was SF game same as Pitt game last year?

I've thought about that, but if we're being honest I think the real answer is just that we're not a good team and once we started facing the better teams on our schedule, this was inevitable.

Can’t say that I fully agree. I consider Houston a good team. This team played Green Bay tough and also put it on a decent Titans team.  Also, went toe to toe with the Saints.

The panthers problem is they quit so easy. One shred of adversity and they fold. Usually that trait is a byproduct of a lack of leadership.

I’d argue that this team doesn’t have any leadership whatsoever. For those that are going to bring up Bruce Irvin (do you really think guys look to a guy who is bouncing team to team), Gerald McCoy (go and read what Tampa said about Geralds leadership when we signed him), Eric Reid (I’m not even going down the political side of this one), or Luke Keuchly (amazing football talent, horrendous leader with his piss poor body language after somebody screws up).

Offensively, there is no one outside of Greg, but if we’re needing our banged up 30+ tight end to lead, we are in serious trouble.

Houston actually didn't look so hot with their OL at the time we played them.

My worry about this team from early on was that we were good enough to beat bad to average teams but not good enough to compete with the better teams.

It was a foreboding loss to SF, and it felt similar to what happened last year.  Are we so soft that one blow out and that is all it takes for a team to quit, except few players that I can count on one hand?

Didn't Poe go down against San Fran? Couldn't remember but I know our run d went from bad to the worst in the NFL when he went down, it went from average to bad when KK went down. Our pass defense followed suit accordingly as well from 2nd to middle of pack to bad.

Poe went down against the Saints.

Not exactly like we were anything special even when he was playing though.

I know that it's a unpopular opinion on here that any of our defensive players were any good this season but in reality the injuries really piled in the same spot...a spot we lacked depth to begin with. Even the non season ending injuries hit our CBS and I'm sure it hampered them some along with the run being so unstoppable causing hard bites on PA.

We could at least stop the run some times tho....the big drop is when KK went down....at the time we had about a 10th ranked run d and a 2nd ranked pass d. We were just abused by the 49ers tho but they might be sb favorites...and that kittle drive extension was killer lol. I do agree Poe has been unspectacular tho considering what he was brought in to do much like Paradis.

Meanwhile an Alpha in Greg Hardy is sitting on his couch just waiting to get 16+ sacks a season. Smh

Not sitting on his couch.  The most active heavyweight in UFC History in a calendar year (2019), after playing in the Spring and Arena Leagues waiting from a call from the Panthers sleezy, hypocritical as hell former owner.
