Having a clue would help too.  Every time he's beat, you can tell he's out of position.  His speed closes in on the botched coverage, but not before the damage has been done.

Kyle Allen doesn't even have to be "good". He just has to be able to keep the defense honest occassionally, and let the run game do some work. But he can't throw deep to save his life. Most of his throws are barely past the line of scrimmage. We are getting it done because of McCaffrey.

Why does Allen have such a hard time with ball handling (heh).  He fumbles snaps and things like this like crazy.
