Hate to say it but Lamar Jackson is better than Cam already.

Only reason I put Cam MVP season over a lot these young guys mvp seasons are because of who Cam did it WITH. All the guys like (Mahomes,Watson,Lamar...etc) are in way better situations owner wiser/coaching wise and player talent wise.

Who is going to SB with Ted Ginn, Philly Brown, Devin Haney and Jericho Cotchery other than MVPCAM? Hate to say it but even Brady had better weapons that and maybe the best head coach of all time. That's just how im seeing it and that's why I will not put any other new shiny qb over what Cam did in 2015.

On the flip side that doesn't mean none of those guys cant be overall better than Cam they are just not better than Peak Prime Cam.....dont feel bad not many Qbs are.

I’m not arguing that Watson is better than Cam. I don’t personally believe that he is.

But Watson has had a genuinely worse offensive line than we have for his career. It’s seriously terrible.

People see names like Watkins and Fuller and assume Watson has had much more to work with but his offensive line has always been trash.

And a Houston fan that doesn’t follow our team would say “Cam has had Olsen and CMC” etc but we all know how troublesome the offense really has been for him.

Did you hear the commentors? Take away the TEs and make him throw the out. He can't make that throw with any velocity.

Cam has is issues but Jackson is getting figured out.

The dude had one or two bad games this entire season. Cam has never had a rough game where he turned the ball over multiple times and lost?

Jackson isn’t being figured out. The dude broke multiple records this season. Much like Cam, the team is entirely dependent on him. If he’s having an off day, there isn’t much they can do. We know how that is.

I love both QBs. Jackson be the all time leading rusher at the position as Cam will be the all time leader in rushing TDs for the position.

Both are incredible players. Neither has been figured out so much as the team falls on their shoulders much more than a lot of other QBs in the league. So when they do have an off game it’s magnified

This one isn’t on Lamar, he was the best player on the Ravens. 500 total yards is up there for a QB in a tough playoff game.    There were so many dropped passes and Ravens D didn’t show up.

Kid will go far.  Just don’t put him on the Madden cover.

Most of Lamars yards came mid 3rd quarter on. When they were down 20 pts and the Titans were playing in prevent letting the clock run.

I don’t think Jackson got “figured out” really. He had 3 turnovers. A pick that was deflected off his TE’s hands, a blindside strip sack and an INT that Vacarro just made a great play on. Andrews was having issues early and there were some drops by other players. Jackson still had a lot of yards, but the turnovers are the reason they lost. They looked like a group of starters that haven’t played in two weeks...

So forcing a QB into turnovers--the strategy of taking away the passing lanes in the middle of the field and making him throw to the sidelines because that is where he is weakest, taking away the run lanes in front of him, making him run from side to side---is in my opinion the very definition of being figured out.

It may be based on the personnel on the Titans defense-what they can do and cannot do---but they developed a game plan that made the Ravens biggest weapon and the NFL MVP look overwhelmed. If the errors you described were unforced, I would agree, but they made Jackson force the issue all night.

You cannot say the TE deflection /interception was not a product of a rushed throw or disrupted timing that caused it to be thrown too hard etc.

I mean Jackson hit him in the hands and he deflected it up instead of catching it. The Titans took away Ingram (who was battling some injuries), but I feel like Jackson played better than people are saying that’s all. You could tell they were rusty from not playing in 2 weeks. Resting starters the last game is definitely a double edged sword. The strip sack was a great play and Vacarro made a great read on his INT. Vrabel is a great coach too. I mean he just knocked out the Pats and Ravens on the road rusty or not. The Titans offensive line had a great push most of the game.

I mean yeah it hit him in the hands, but it was sort of like a lot of Cam's high throws that got tipped and picked. It's easy for either side to argue it. Either the protection forced a high and hard throw or it was simply too high and hard and something Lamar needs to learn from. Same with Cam. Either way, the result was a throw that was too high and it lead to a pick. I will say that a couple sacks were due to Lamar trying to let things develop, from what I could tell and the protection just broke down on him. Down in the game in the second half with an offense that is struggling unless he's got an open man or room to run, can't blame him. A LOT of similarities between Cam and Lamar in that department. Lamar will be fine as long as he stays healthy and the team around him continues to improve.
