M. McCarthy coming up to often

Reading the interwebs and Twitter etc. It seems that this name keeps surfacing as a head coach for the Panthers. He has no affiliation with the Steelers, but is a Pittsburgh guy.

Would like some new blood and new thinking for the Panthers....what u got,

Right now, yhere's really only one candidate with a confirmed connection to the Panthers, and that's McDaniels.

Yes, Roman is connected too, but technically he was connected to Jerry Richardson's Panthers, not David Tepper's.

You could say he's connected through Marty Hurney, but at this point we don't know how much influence Marty still has.

We have an opening so speculation is that we are going to hire everyone. I don't think this is where Tepper is going with the next coach

I think he's praying he gets this job though. His comments on analytics just seemed a tad odd/forced IMO.

Someone else (maybe Peter King) mentioned that McCarthy's been heavily speculated to every job opening that's happened since he was fired.

Dude put his own “staff” together and has been watching tape of all the games, going thru scenarios and using analytics in his decision making... he wants a job bad
