I've been on the Burrow train for a while, but I'm not as concerned about upside nearly as much as their floor.  Just seem that no matter what Burrow would be a good starter in the league from what I'm seeing....then again, we really know very little.

I have called him a stronger armed Alex Smith, that could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me.

I'd have to think the fact that he's thrived under coaching from a guy with a pro background would be a positive.

He's talking about Verge.

And he's right on that. Verge has had very solid info when it comes to the draft.

You are saying that he's not getting substantial injures running the football.  Sure, OK, that is true, outside of the concussion in ATL. 

HOWEVER the worry is the cumulative affect of ALL of the injuries he has sustained, not allowing him to get back, or to stay at full health.  Period.

The more hits you take, the harder it is for your body to recover, add in he is getting long in the tooth, and the body recovers even more slowly.  In addition to that, he's had multiple surgeries, and it's just another layer.

My point, is no, Cam doesn't seem to get hurt on his runs, but that doesn't matter, he IS getting hurt.

I understand. There is truth there. Yes, there is some degree of degradation when you continue to take hits. I’m just simply pointing out that the injuries that cost him the most originated from non-running situations. Now, is he taking a lot of hits on those runs? Sure he is. But that’s not the reason he’s not playing football right now. He’s sitting at home right now because he hurt his foot trying to maneuver within the pocket in a preseason game. Had that never happened, who knows where this team is right now. It was a terrible break for a player who worked tremendously hard to come back from surgery and looked on point at camp.

I think the cumulative affect you speak of is what would prevent him from playing until 40. That’s not my expectation. But I don’t think he is going to completely eliminate that part of his game at the age of 30, whether that’s here or not.

Cam is an amazing talent.  

I'm not sure how one can say he has been misused. He has been instrumental to the best goal line offense in the NFL. He has help lead a very consistent rushing attack.  He has been a part of many talented teams. 

Yet you say he was misused. 

Cam has been healthy in a very long time. And you say he's being tossed aside. I don't even think you understand your own words.

The point is Verge has spent years giving what has turned out to be credible information on a consistent basis. If you disagree, go back and prove it. Just because he says something you disagree with, doesn’t mean he doesn’t give good information. I’ll  vouch for his accuracy for my time here. I never even watched Jones play until he brought him up. 

  And Mel Kiper had Jones as his 4th QB behind Lock and Haskins. Verge had Jones going after Murray. You would have noticed if you didn’t spend most of your time propping up R. Gary with pics of magazine articles.

Even if he has solid info. Hes making a blanket statement that cant be true. Most team have him as there 3rd qb? Unless his guy is some super scout that is connected to all teams in the league how is that so? Like it's one thing to say the panthers have him 3rd and have an insider but all teams? Even still it's very early in the draft process. I dout teams have a well put together board at this point.

Burrow came out of no where so how much homework they have done on him up until now before the senior bowl the combine and individual throwing sessions should mean nothing.

First off we weren't even in the market for a qb so I didnt focus my attention there. This was about pass rushers. So me noticing verge talking about qbs on a panthers board and missing that info is a joke.And yes I did do all that. And Gary went before we could even pick so dispite all that crap you were speaking about him not going in the first round obviously some teams agreed.

Yes I post stuff from magazines.  To back up the info I'm trying to present. I have nothing against verge at all. But your putting him up as some end all be all ahead of all other scouts is laughable. Take several seats sir. Dude has some info, I remember reading a thread way back when he called the Bruce Irvin as a first rounder to the Hawks when most pundits had him as a late second early third.

I'm not saying he doesn't. Its December. Seasons not over. Before this year burrow was a relative unknown. We are gonna pretend hes 3rd right now even before draft season has really started? How deep into the draft process are teams? Do you think they have a set board before the combine? I think its horse poo to assume any players position before the process has even started not to mention it definitely will change. That's my point.
