Kyle Allen. Despite being written off already, I still see potential there.

Ok. Savior Will Greir!  Yeah, because the typical fair weather fan that has already written this team off will come back to see what the 3rd string QB has to offer.

Lol the owner wrote this team off. Guy saw the writing on the wall and is already preparing for next season. At this rate that's what anyone is doing. Season is for all intents and purposes over.

Might as well see what Grier had. I mean what are we trying to prove with Allen at this point? What are we trying to accomplish? Finish on a high note? Lol like that's going to happen with Allen. High note happened when we fired Rivera.

Perception dude.  It's not like the majority of this fan base is very football savvy.  Sure most of us on this board are, but to the average fan, starting the 3rd string QB when the 2nd string QB is healthy shows that you are throwing in the towel.  The team will have it's die-hards, Tepper is trying to keep the perception of a competitive team to the silver club level wine & cheesers that don't know the difference between an outside linebacker and offensive guard.  We lost by less than a TD today.  As horrible as it was, it still ended up being a tight game.

Guys, it's pretty simple Cam>Allen>Grier.  Putting Greir in all but signals a tank job.  Fine, do it, but I don't think the organization wants to project that image.

Keeping Kyle in as he collapses every week would signal the job. They could at least pretend to care about winning if they sat him.

lol no one with eyeballs is going to blame them for benching him when he’s playing this bad. QBs have sat for less. Casuals wanted to sit Cam for less.

I got ya, but unless Allen implodes to the point it's obvious he doesn't care and/or the offense doesn't respond to him anymore, I doubt they will bench him.  You can protest until you are blue in the face.

I'm torn on Kyle. On the one hand, he is exactly the Tank Commander that is needed to pilot this ship to a top 10 pick. On the other hand, are we just never even going to bother seeing Will Grier? I cannot fathom why you would not want to at least see what he has going into the offseason.

Well, we don't know yet how Allen will play with a good offensive line, a good Healthy tight end and at least one top receiver. When the best receiver you have is also the #1 Runningback, you have problems.

DJ Moore over a 1,000 yards receiving though. He might have more with a better QB and OC

If you need all that to be good then you aren't good

    • Might as well declare this front office regime dead if that's the case.  There is no reason that should happen.
    • Well unfortunately nothing to us. But he has been giving to the rest of the league. He's been so bad he was getting opposing defenders all kinds of accolades and salary increases. Now though he's taking back. You can't lose to a Bryce Young led offense and not expect swift ramifications ya know?
    • Full disclosure I responded to this before fully reading the whole post. As if I had, I’d have laughed at you saying you haven’t seen a full route tree from him, as that’s EXACTLY what he has in his bag.  That right there just shows you haven’t watched him at all outside of the downfield highlight reel plays.  He already runs a full NFL level route tree, at all 3 levels.  As I’ve said numerous times before, XL is the big bodied possession guy, while T-Mac would be the true outside #1 who can do it all and a perfect compliment to XL.   Want to draft someone else all you want, that’s totally fair.  But don’t try and say he’s just a big bodied WR who lacks quickness and can’t run a full route tree, as it’s just the furthest thing from the truth.     And it’s okay, after you watch some more clips, you can admit that you were wrong and I’m not showing my own bias towards him.  It’s not like I’m advocating for someone who should be a late 1st rounder or even a mid 1st round pick, this is someone who’s been mocked as high as #2 by a lot of experts lately. The kid is a stud and he has every tool in his bag that you’d want an outside #1 to have.
