Kyle Allen. Despite being written off already, I still see potential there.

I like KA. Dude can be groomed into a really good QB. But his time wasn’t this year. I would say another two years behind a veteran QB would do wonders for him. He has the tangibles. Just needs some huge flaws that need to be polished out

I am just struggling to see the makings of a "really good QB." He looks a lot like a journeyman and very little like a "really good QB."

He has bursts of really good play followed by a stretch of some WTF moments. It’s there. Just needs some development and throwing him out to rot is hindering his growth.

I'm going to make a post about how Palardis is a hall of fame center. People just trying to get attention on this board. If you think this guy has potential, it was only a matter of time until team's got film, seen how the offense was ran, and challenged that. The game has evolved to an ever changing entity. He's a prep-school QB that has delivered on a scheme and did exactly what a backup is supposed to do.

lmao what?! are you his mom????

when you analyze a struggling young quarterback as developable it usually means he has some raw, untapped potential in some area where you see flashes on the field. cannon of an arm if we can work on accuracy! amazing decision-making if we can work on awareness! incredibly elusive if we can work on his reads!

kyle allen has none of these things. he's not a leader, people "follow" him because it's their job and they feel sorry for him. no one will go to war for kyle allen. he has no intangibles worth mentioning because nothing he does contributes to results on the field (except throwing dummy picks and fumbling of course)

he is at best a backup and should be developed accordingly.

The only thing I positive I can possibly see from Kyle is that he’s the opposite of cam when it comes to body language.

kyle doesn’t mope. He can’t throw a ball more than 10 yards or with velocity that wouldn’t be matched by a toddler nor does he seem to realize that there are in fact large angry men on the other team who will hit him when he stands still.

but yep, he doesn’t mope

I could see KA excelling in a West Coast type offense.

Who knows what we will be running next season.  I would not get rid of him yet for sure

it's a myth on these boards that west coast offenses are dink-and-dunk systems for football babby. stick kyle allen in any west coast offense and yes he will excel at the one-read timing throws six yards downfield like he does here but you still have to be able to throw it deep, navigate a pocket, and not fumble. a west coast offense would at best make kyle allen the 30th ranked quarterback instead of the 32nd

lots of people with cam derangement syndrome value not "moping" over playing transcendent football

I agree! God forbid he puts a towel on his head like a certain #1 overall, generational talented, and former MVP QB. He will surely never reach great heights with such an attitude.
