Kyle Allen. Despite being written off already, I still see potential there.

I'm not sure what he is supposed to do with probably the worst supporting cast outside of CmC in the NFL. He isn't the future, and I am not sure who is, we have so many positions we need to fill, this is going to be a long rebuild..

He definitely does not have the worst supporting cast in the NFL.

He has thrown 15 interceptions in 8 weeks, and you're trying to throw the supporting cast under the bus?

It is definitely apart of it. Don't think he would be lighting up the league if he were on say...Dallas, but he wouldn't be performing this poorly. Like I said, he is not the future, and neither is 75% of this current roster.

The main issue is his judgement.  When it’s 2 min drill he does well because he doesn’t overthink the play.  When he overthinks he takes too many risks,  throwing into double triple Coverage is accounting for majority of the picks.    Decent QB bad decision making.

I can almost hear him thinking, if I get enough practice at this those throws will connect.  It’s not working man, stop forcing it.

I agree with you, and with his lack of elite physical skill set, this stuff will show up all the time. He is good for 2-4 games, but past that you are pushing it. If he can learn behind someone and develop his mental skills, he could be a pretty decent QB, but not for us.

Well, we don't know yet how Allen will play with a good offensive line, a good Healthy tight end and at least one top receiver. When the best receiver you have is also the #1 Runningback, you have problems.

So he needs to be in the perfect situation 1st before we judge him?? Lol

You do realize this situation never happens or last long.. And if your QB can't make up for weak parts of the team.. He shouldn't be your starting QB..

Carolina has a better overall offensive supporting cast than the Patriots (11-3) Ravens (12-2) Bills (10-4) 49ers (11-3)

What you mean is that the Panthers have CMC, DJ Moore, a bunch of paper cutouts we use as offensive linemen, and a boatload of awful on the defensive side of the ball.

Those are all extremely complete teams.  The idea the only difference between those 4 teams and the Panthers is the QB is beyond asinine.

That doesn't mean Allen is any good.

    • Might as well declare this front office regime dead if that's the case.  There is no reason that should happen.
    • Well unfortunately nothing to us. But he has been giving to the rest of the league. He's been so bad he was getting opposing defenders all kinds of accolades and salary increases. Now though he's taking back. You can't lose to a Bryce Young led offense and not expect swift ramifications ya know?
    • Full disclosure I responded to this before fully reading the whole post. As if I had, I’d have laughed at you saying you haven’t seen a full route tree from him, as that’s EXACTLY what he has in his bag.  That right there just shows you haven’t watched him at all outside of the downfield highlight reel plays.  He already runs a full NFL level route tree, at all 3 levels.  As I’ve said numerous times before, XL is the big bodied possession guy, while T-Mac would be the true outside #1 who can do it all and a perfect compliment to XL.   Want to draft someone else all you want, that’s totally fair.  But don’t try and say he’s just a big bodied WR who lacks quickness and can’t run a full route tree, as it’s just the furthest thing from the truth.     And it’s okay, after you watch some more clips, you can admit that you were wrong and I’m not showing my own bias towards him.  It’s not like I’m advocating for someone who should be a late 1st rounder or even a mid 1st round pick, this is someone who’s been mocked as high as #2 by a lot of experts lately. The kid is a stud and he has every tool in his bag that you’d want an outside #1 to have.
