Hmm, interesting...

...would kind of explain Mrs's Scot's reticence to cite a source.

Come on Scot, get on the record man!

Saw an article says Tepper and Cam on a positive relationship !! That Tepper wants a healthy Cam back versus an injured Cam!! Allen I think has learned a lot and we learned a lot about him.. but Anderson was the same as backup played great 3-4 games as a backup then went to hell!! So.. Allen might be good to have to start next year so Cam doesn’t have to rush back in!! Trying to be positive!! This season has been a big let down!!

Lmao I was thinking the same thing. Igo is so wrong about things that is become kind of a running gag around here. This is the same guy that said this earlier in the year. Championing the second coming.

Now back to the original question. Is Kyle Allen good enough for a Carolina Panthers playoff run? Yes, I believe he is.

Like I've said. There is a difference between opinion/speculation and actual evidence.

People like you will take what your “insiders” will say as gospel regardless of being right or wrong welcome to the age of the internet where anyone can claim anything and if they are wrong “plans change”

#truth

"plans change" = afraid to get on the record.

#LOL

Folks are going to read into this what they want.

If they've been throwing dirt on his grave they're going to preach "healthy" and "wants" and say this is a "coded message", when in reality - Cam Newton is your franchise quarterback and they do not grow on trees.

Tepper doesn't want to go back to 3 win seasons while we scramble around for a QB. They simply don't grow on trees. Cam Newton is our best bet at winning next season and beyond at this point...Tepper knows this.

He ain't goin nowhere.

I want Cam to take the next step as a player. He was before the Pitt injury.

Tepper knows this and he knows that a healthy Cam is better than any rookie that could come out.

The thing that worries me is that Cam will be under a new coach and another new system. At least that's what might happen. We don't know. For all we know  Scott stays and they let him be a full time oc. I'm nervous about who the head coach will be. That will definitely determine if he stays or goes. Or who knows. Maybe tepper will have that as a stipulation, to work with Cam? I'm not sure.

One thing that is certain is that Tepper will get the best people to have success with Cam. Which is super exciting.

No one knows what’s happening with Cam. No one here even has an educated guess. It depends on how his foot heals. He’s not injury prone because of two unrelated injuries. He’s cheap for next year. We don’t know if he’d be a bitch about his contract but past evidence points towards no. Before the shoulder problem last year he was playing exactly like we had hoped he would when his run game was gone. We have nothing at QB without him (as far as a starter goes).

Everything says he’ll be our starting QB next year except the uncertainty about his foot, which none of us have any clue about.  Anyone claiming to know anything, or even claiming their speculation has any merit whatsoever, is full of poo. We don’t know.

Wrong.

One, it's not just Igo.

Two, there's a difference between general predictions and actual inside information.

Bottom Line: I judge the reliability and trustworthiness of people with inside information based on how frequently they're right, not whether I like what they have to say.

A whole lot of people within this discussion would be wise to do the same.

Do you think the Panthers are going to offer Greg Olsen a five-year, hundred-million-dollar extension and make him the highest paid tight end in the league?

No? Well then I guess you must hate Greg Olsen and you want to see him fail.

Think that's stupid? Well, it's the exact same logic that you're applying to these guys when they tell you what's happening with Cam Newton.

Igo, Zack and all the others who have inside tracks with the team know what they know. Now, I suppose they could ignore what they're hearing, tell everybody it's all good and Newton is gonna play here till he's 50, but if that's not what they see going on behind the scenes, what exactly does that accomplish?

Does it make some fans happy? Maybe, at least right up until the point that what they expect to happen doesn't happen. Then they're all gonna be pissed off at everybody because they got their hopes up. On top of that, nobody's going to listen to our insiders anymore because they gave out false info.

Oy :eyeroll:

There is zero, zip, nada to be gained from spreading false information. and talking about what they believe is going to happen has absolutely nothing to do with what they want to happen. The whole suggestion is just stupid.

They've also acknowledged that things could change, just as any intelligent, reasonable person should. But until they do there's not much point in them changing their outlook.

This really shouldn't be a difficult thing to understand, at least if you're looking at it logically and not through your emotions.

Bottom Line: What's going to happen is going to happen. All the positive thinking, denial, and whatever else anybody wants to do here is not going to change that.

Shooting the messenger sure as hell isn't changing it either.

    • I understand and sympathize with the husband who was cheated on but honestly that was corny and cringe and just makes him seem like all he cares about is trying to go viral. It sucks and all but you aren't the only person out there that's had a marriage fall apart over cheating. Kick her to the curb file for divorce and get that out of your life. You don't need to make a spectacle on twitter. And honestly with how open she was texting things like that this guy had to have had suspicions already. There had to have been red flags when you married her. This can't all be a complete shock. I feel sorry for Steve's wife and family who know have to publicly deal with this clownery. And that is exactly what it is on Steve's part. You are blessed multiple ways over and you are not a young kid anymore. Well he's gonna be paying up now. Good luck with that.
    • Yeah, I feel bad for the guy but bro, your wife's a ho. You can't turn a ho into a housewife. Yeah, I'd be pissed at Smitty too but I'm getting the lawyer hired and the paperwork drawn up before making this poo public. I feel bad for Smitty's wife and kids too. Smitty's been married for 25 years and has four kids with his wife. They just got a massive curveball thrown into their lives too.
    • Steve and the Mistress should be ashamed of themselves smh
