Be careful what you wish for... Fox has built a roster full of talent, with more emerging from it, Barnidge, Martin, (im not sold on jarret) and more talent waiting, Duke Robinson, captain munnerlyn, Everette brown. The play calling is a little suspect sometime, but i think if we had a QB that would change, imagine if we had gotten Favre... Fox will be picked up by some team pretty much overnight if we let him go. And what if we get a Raheem Morris type.

Why are people worried about what we will get if Fox is fired? You already know that what you got now won't get you a ring, so why stick with it? This is the same fear that has made Fox stick with Delhomme. He's too afraid of what would happen if we brought in someone else.

We may get a worse coach, but if we do then he's gone and we get another one. If he's a good coach, then stick with him. If not, repeat. It's better to just go through the process and the pains to finally find something better than sticking with something that you know you aren't going anywhere with.

If we make it to the wild card then Fox should stay on board. The season was saved though we should always strive for the SB. But if we make it to the wild card that means something will have happened at the QB position. I cannot envision Jake's level of play right now taking us that far. The whole team should not have to be clicking on all cylinders just to get the QB to play a decent game.

This team is so close to being dominant. Fox has this defense on the right path. Him and Hurnery have constructed a hell of a running game as well. They have done what they said they would do. If we do make it to the playoffs then I believe Fox will change some of his age old tendencies that have hindered this team and we will see a better coach Fox in 2010.

Coaches don't win rings so much as organizations do. If you look at the last several Superbowls you notice 2 or 3 teams dominate the scene. Cowher didn't win the superbowl, the Steelers did. Tomlin showed that a good coach and their organization can win a Superbowl even ayoung coach. Belicheck is a great coach but the Patriots are a great organization also. Teams like the Cardinals, Tampa and Giants for example have a great year or two and may even have a couple of winning seasons in a row, but what it takes to consistently contend and win is a great organization. Changing Fox and Hurney won't necessarily give you a great organization. So changing those two and replacing them with whoever won't guarantee consistent success.
