Curtis Samuel is not killing drives

We did that. Folks looking at all of his targets tracked his separation, cushion rcvd, drops, catchable balls, etc. That's where we got those stats. Some went so far as to show examples of this. That's why you were given a sample size of 15, which accounts for nearly half of the population of uncatchable passes cited.

You and others still rejected this.

Did you look at how many 3rd downs he caught and failed to convert?

These are Moore's, CMC and Samuel's receiving stats in order 1,2,3.  For a #2 WR in this offense, those are not bad stats for Samuel.  If Norv wasn't so focused on feeding CMC in the passing attack, I'd say Samuel's stats...and DJ's would be better.

If you read all my posts, you would see that I’ve echoed the same sentiments you just said...I said I think most of Samuel’s struggles can be attributed to Kyle Allen.

The difference is that you acknowledge Samuel has some bad plays and some drops, whereas Icege basically took the stance “If you criticize anything about Samuel and think he is even any part of the problem for our offensive struggles this year, you’re probably racist”

Both of those tweets are the start of threads. If you click on them in twitter, they have more videos in their replies. In total, there are 15 unique plays between them.

The statistic listed was that Curtis Samuel is in the bottom 5 when it comes to being thrown a catchable ball. This stat was doubted and accusations of cherry picking were made. The stat cited shows that Curtis Samuel was on the receiving end of 31 uncatchable passes thrown by his QB. 15 of those 31 passes were shown in the supporting evidence.

At this point, the insinuation is that the other 16 examples are all things such as Kyle Allen having to throw the ball away or Curtis Samuel running a bad route. That is ridiculous and intellectually dishonest.

Samuel has 6 drops and is averaging over 1.5yds of separation despite being given over 5yds of cushion. Yes, he has made mistakes. Is he killing drives? No. Kyle Allen is killing this offense. The numbers are right there in plain view. Curtis Samuel is a quality WR that is unable to be used for what he does best (speed) because our QB strains more than Matt Ryan to chuck the deep ball.

I like the parts where you complain about your posts not being read while doing the same thing yourself AND misrepresenting my stance.

Btw, I never quoted you directly until now because I was responding to the excuses you and others were giving to normalize the bad takes. Some of those individuals are the same Pro-Kyle/DA "fans" that have never supported Cam. If that isn't something you've engaged in, then you have nothing to worry about :D

How many 3rd downs failed because he caught the ball and we didn’t convert?

How many third downs and touchdowns have we failed to capitalize on with Curtis Samuel because Kyle Allen can't throw a ball past the ten yard line nor hit people accurately on a consistent basis?

Wager a lot more times than all the times Curtis Samuel may have caused some missed ops.

Answer the question first. How many times this season.

Was just referring to the passes in his 9 clips he posted.

My contention is with him entirely absolving Samuel of all blame and saying he is not even part of the problem. Maybe I came across too harsh and hyperbolic when I said he’s a bad WR, I don’t think he is...but he is part of the problem, albeit nowhere near the biggest part (Allen and the o-line are much bigger detractors to our offensive woes).

Simply put: do you think Samuel is part of the problem or not?

If Samuel is part of the basic problem---which I really don't think he is considering how one defines "problem"---then he is so inasmuch as any receiver is part of the problem. And I'm not suggesting that he doesn't need to work on his craft, but what I am saying is that (IMO) considering his talent level, I am willing to put up with some of his imperfections at this point (at least until I see him consistently being as useless as some suggest here).

y'all just love him because he's a panther.  he's got 0 body control.  he's weak.  his hands are suspect.   he hasn't gotten a whole lot better.  it doesn't seem like he's that guy that's ate up with becoming great.    he's fast.   he's a gadget guy.  i will eat crow if he becomes a good #2

Better get some salt, pepper and hot sauce.  Crow is tough and tastes really horrible.
