Pats tape shows 8 minutes of Bengals sideline footage

It sounds like the Patriots were using this "Do your job" video series as a front to film signals. They could edit the footage into something they can put online to make it credible, but then also keep that sideline footage for themselves.

Brilliant.

Right up till you get caught, of course.

The guy who got caught filming doesn't sound like the sharpest knife in the drawer. He was wearing Boston Bruins gear at the time.

"Sure, I'm filming the sidelines while wearing Boston sports gear, but I'm sure nobody will think that's suspicious" :)

He also reportedly sat down right in front of somebody who works for the Bengals. They could see the viewfinder over his shoulder.

It’s Brilliant and they’ll get away with it. The NFL can’t prove intent unless more teams come forward with claims the Pats asked for video crew access as well.

There needs to be an extremely harsh punishment. Draft picks, lifetime bans.

its straight up cheating to get an edge.

It definitely start from the owner. So the NFL needs to punish the team harshly.  Multiple 1st rounders and something with the salary cap. Bc Belichick and Brady can leave anytime to anywhere and would not be affected. Punish Kraft

    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
    • This was evident first two weeks of season. I don’t see any issues with physical tools since he came back. I think he is a player that must play with confidence to overcome those size limitations and he’s doing that.
    • Still 3-10 on passes over 15 yards.  At least he's not scared to merely attempt them anymore.  Where I see improvement is the 10-15 yard range.  He was 6-6.  Bryce of old was scatter shot on anything beyond 10 yards and the further out, the worse the accuracy.
