Is there any valid discussion to be had on this forum anymore?

Lots, but when people keep making alts to dismiss Cam there's little point to engaging in said discussion.

Yeah, one could say that they're successfully trolling the board, but they'd be wrong, since trolling is about getting people so upset they expend an effort all out of proportion to prove the troll wrong... Like getting someone to constantly make alts...

Why did he wait so late. Should've been done.

It fits in line with what he wanted to do. He wants to stay in Charlotte and be a Panther. If you look at the timeline he wanted to see if it healed on its on and it didnt after the bye After then I think he was getting opinions and when Rivera got fired immediately he decided to get the surgery done to take some initiative to get 100% and remain on this team. Cam is going to ball out next year. He wants to stay here and he wants that extension to stay here. He knows Tepper is not about games and Cam is going to get 100% and  going to wreck havoc next year. I just pray we dont let him slip away because if he goes to another team I dont think Cam will have that swagger like he does for Carolina. There is something special about playing for the Panthers. Josh Norman knew it and other players. I just hope we dont let him slip away.

Yeah, honestly man, idk that any of our conjecture here on the board even matters...  the whispers around the organization make it sound like a decision has already been made, whether Cam is 100% or not.  I hope they're wrong though.

The easiest answer to this Cam problem is Cam gets healthy and plays like we know he can.  If we move on from him we could spend a long time finding someone half as good in his prime.  I still think he is Hall of Fame.  A Super Bowl victory seals that and he is only 31.  If we don't get a decent first rounder and I really want more than that, I would keep him and bet on Cam.  Best player this franchise has seen IMO.

What a tough decision this is with him.  Jeez.  I keep thinking if you dont know we should just draft someone round 1 and keep him anyway.  A good QB can always bring you assets later.

Gotta add, the round 1 QB has to be the right guy.  Just don't like Herbert and Ive soured on Eason.  Tua with all the questions still interests me though.  Tough, tough call.

Blind homer-ism and extremism appear to drive that, There is nothing wrong with being a realist I will be sad when Keek is no longer a panther in a season or so too. Attacking people over one statement and being the little boy who cries wolf makes the reactor no better! I would just actively use the block function.

I'm more concerned about his shoulder than his foot.

were there indications in practice or preseason or his two games that it was less than 100%? if not i'd say an added full year of rest means it's absolutely as good as it's gonna get.

Other than the fact he couldn't throw to the right side of the field?

Gotta agree with Igo here.  The shoulder is a huge issue...you cant just fix that especially when he is going out there taxing it every throw.  There are other great QBs in the league going through questions with their career.  How many people want to give up our first rounder for Big Ben or Brady?  Cam is going to be here unless we sell really low and IMO that would be post draft.

Are you talking about in training camp or the first two games?

because I don’t think we can judge that based on the foot injury and being able to plant his foot to throw.

You have to plant your foot regardless of where you throw it.

I’ve seen the breakdown of those two games. It does look like something could be wrong. We won’t know for sure though for a while.

Yeah but feet are weird. He may have been favoring it in certain ways. We really don’t know. It just seems like there would have been reports like “hey cam doesn’t look good throwing to the right side in 7 on 7s” especially with the spotlight being on his shoulder so heavily.

i just hope he can play regardless at this point because the nfl is better with Cam in it.
