The former Panthers doctor he saw actually didn't think he'd need surgery, so I'm guessing that guy wasn't an option.

That guy needs to be fired because any orthopedic foot doc will tell you to get surgery with a Lisfranc foot injury if you want to ensure it heals in a timely manner.
