Rivera’s send off was Elegant, Foxes departure was cold

Coaches, fans, players, the media, and the Panthers all sent Ron packing with a bunch of grace and elegance. 
 

It’s so much different than when Fox played his last game and sort of just disappeared. 
 

Is this 100% because of social media?  Is this a Tepper thing?  Hurn-dawg?  What was the difference?

Rivera is a nice person.

JR would’ve fired fox sooner than 2010 but he let him coach through his contract bc he was too cheap to pay two coaches

There was an entire year's worth of drama that preceded Fox's exit, including his wife coming into the Panther offices and making a huge scene about the team not extending him.

Fox was worse than Rivera. His own willful ignorance to trot Delhomme out there past his prime. His unwillingness to adapt and his no balls coaching style got him what he deserved.  He rode the coat tails of Steve Smith, Double Trouble and a few elite defenses pieces until he got exposed. At least Ron TRIED to win, and even be innovative at times.

Everyone knew Fox was going to be fired before his last season here began.  We all got used to it.  Rivera was fired mid season and we all thought it would be at the end of the year.

It came from somebody that used to work there.

Same source told the story about Fox dragging a visibly uncomfortable Marty Hurney to a strip club around the time of the 2003 Super Bowl.
