Picking top 5

If we lose out, then odds are that Atlanta, Denver and the Chargers will get one more win.  This drops us to 9th.  I don't see another win for the Jets at this point unless the Bills rest starters the last game.

So start pinning your hopes on the number 9 slot

LA, Denver, NY, ATL, and Jags will likely win more then us. All are in better situations... Redskins could also defeat Giants and Dallas  or Eagles to finish 5-11 (I'm assuming we win the tiebreaker cause they beat us...). I could really see us getting as high as 5 if things fell in the right place. 4 there is a 0.50% chance... Cincinnati has already showed interest in Cam... If Cam is truly healthy and can pass a physical... I think he has value... They might get in mind that they can still have a top 5 pick and Cam Newton... I want to see Joe Burrow vs Clemson... They send many people to the NFL every year, if he beats them, I might buy into the idea of sending 2 1sts, and Cam for Burrow... No more then that... I don't think people talk about KA could fetch a 3rd possibly if we decide to go QB...

Jags are a pretty bad team right now and would need to win 2 of their last 3, doubt that can happen.

Thinking SOS is king on draft order, not head to head matchups

Think 9 and be thrilled if we get to 8.

It worked out pretty well for us last time we drafted at 9.

burrow, tua, herbert are the first round projections

Offseason 2010 Newton, Locker, Gabbert are the first round projections.

Only one ended up actually being worth a first round selection. Maybe all three (Burrow, Tus, Herbert) will be great, but that's kind of a rare thing to happen.

The draft never goes as planned. The year Bridgewater went out him and Manziel flip flopped in mock drafts at #1.... Clowney ends up going there (stupid pick at the time, he had injury history, Buffalo offered a lump package to take Sammy Watkins at #1 and they refused it...). I would not be surprised if we go 1-5 with 0 qbs taken. You can’t tell me one of these teams at the top 3 would not take Cam Newton to move down from 2 to 6.... especially if he passes a physical...
