Big market writers target their remarks to fans of big market teams. If the Panthers can be identified as one of the "worst teams in the conference" it sure takes the sting off that embarrassing loss the giants took from the iggles.

I hate Florio as much as the next guy, but what did he say that wasnt true? Philly, NY, Dallas, Atlanta, NO, GB, Minn, Chicago, Arizona, SF are all better than us. Im not even sure we're much better than Seattle. That makes us better than only a few teams. Yes, we are one of the worst teams in the NFC until the panthers prove otherwise.

I don't see how Florio is so wrong here... unless some people just want to play with words like "what does 'one of the worst' teams in the league" really mean? The general statement fits us fairly well.

Redskins

Niners

Rams

That's half the conference.

I wouldn't say one of the worst, more of a middle of the pack team, the worse teams would be Tampa, detroit, St. Louis, and the redskins.

I also think we are a better team then the Seahawks and maybe even the bears.

before yesterday's win you would wouldn't be able to make that case.

we lost to the bills at home and only managed to win against two absolutely horrible teams.

the team was in shambles and playing some of the ugliest football around.

the panthers might not be the worst but until we win against another good team or two, we haven't proved a whole lot.

remember, the raiders beat the eagles. eagles are still a very good team and the raiders still suck. you have to win more than one game against a good team before you deserve much if any recognition or respect.

I wasn't aware that the Redskins were the worst team in the NFL.

I'd classify us as "Lower Middle Class" myself... but I can see where the National Media would feel we were. It's not like we're tearing up the league or anything, and all they get is the W-L column and stats on their desks Monday mornings. You think they actually watch any of the games or something?

Well, that Giants team got bitch slapped by the Eagles, beat by the lowly Raiders, and beaten by the Cardinals. No, I don't think they are better than we are.
