I think Ron as an individual is a decent coach but his staff hiring may have even overshadowed his weird in-game decision making and issues with playing w/a lead.

Nah, this team has packed it in.  Expect a half-hearted effort from here on out.  They are just ready to get this season over with.

Naw it showed me exactly what I expected, Rivera’s hires were the end of him, can’t have an inept staff and constantly sticking up for them. 
 

if Rivera was cutthroat he still be employed currently, the same issues throughout his tenure occurred because he allowed people in control of those aspects of the game, to stay in play instead of finding better staff members

I can't say that I believed anything good would come out of a coaching change right now.

My best hope for the remainder of this season was that maybe we would look like we weren't as bad as I thought we were.

Sadly, it's not working out that way so far.

this decision was overdue and it should’ve been made in january at the latest.

The rationale that David Tepper gave had nothing to do with this season.

Tepper stated that other teams are already searching for their next coach, but doing it behind the backs of their current one (something he considered dishonorable).

He'd already decided that he was done with Rivera, but was upset that other teams were getting a head start on their coaching searches. So in order to keep from falling behind without being disrespectful to Rivera, he fired him.

You basing this on today...did you think with RR gone it was going to get better immediately ? What Tepper does in off season will determine our status...
