My vote is that they don't want to destroy him in a few meaningless games behind an OL that couldn't protect a QB against a Pop Warner defense.  Truth is, what is the point?  It is very likely that nobody who would be evaluating him now will be around, anyway. 

It has been a while since I have been as down on a team as I am this one.  In every single respect.  We have a handful of players who are worth moving forward with, but otherwise, burn it to the ground and press the reset button.

It doesn't matter who the QB is behind this line. That goes equally for people eager to start Grier, and anyone foolish enough to be rooting for a round 1 QB. 

Priority 1 this offseason has to be a stud O Line. If we trot out another patchwork line, it wouldn't matter if we were starting Drew Rodgers-Brady back there. A QB of any quality still need time.

If we're benching for poor play, it's going to be hard to find 11 guys to field, much less 22 to cover both sides of the ball,

If we're benching to see if we've got better, then you're just throwing a lamb to the wolves. There won't be anything left but blood specks and bits of beard fluff.

Why change the QB with all this stacked against you? Also chemistry. At this point it's experience more than anything that Allen had over Grier. Albeit it ain't much. 

Making huge changes now will honestly not work. Even if they're coaching for jobs. The players have given up pretty much. Pack it in. Season was over weeks ago.

At this point, I'd be picking up some street free agent QB off the street and send him in to try and survive the next three games.

Kyle has something, but at the rate it's going all he has ahead is a date with a hospital and a long string of chiropractic visits. With a decent line and some good coaching, he might be okay, but no one could look good in this mess.

Yeah, no need to make any huge changes at this point. I mean, everything is going so well, right? Just stay the course.

Any coach with that type of mentality isn't worth employing even on an interim basis.

It's literally the only time to stay the course. 5-8 , rebuilding. Like literally the only time. It's a process and it's going to take a long time. Rivera is gone and right now like you said, people are auditioning. Whatever they do is up to them. 

 

Also, how do you know Tepper didn't ask Fewell to keep going with Allen? We don't know that.

      I don’t watch Hornets games cuz I am out of market.. not about to pay for this mess.. been a fan since they were born….my post is about it’s the only NBA game on and no network National is showing it or did.. I luv Luka… and almost want to be a Laker fan now. .so you would think they would show it.. it’s just embarrassing we can’t get a free game to watch.. this is the end of my Rant !
