I'm still a bigger fan of Worcestershire than I am A1.

Same.  I use worchestershire a LOT.  Not on steak though, unless it's a bad cut and I'm marinating.

Also to completely get off subject, please don't marinate good cuts of beef.

Luckily, I'm not the cook in my house.

There are things in this world that I am very good at and things that I am not. Cooking falls under the second category.

I cook every meal that's eaten in my house, we sometimes order in, but pretty rarely...maybe once a month, never get take out.

It's a stress reliever for me.  Good music in the background, and sometimes a nice glass of wine or a really good IPA, and I'm in my heaven.

Any stress relief I get out of cooking is immediately wasted when I actually have to eat what I've cooked.

I've actually started using a balsamic reduction on the side for my steaks, even my filets. Not drowning it in it, but just a little smear on end of the fork before a bite. The salt and vinegar really bring out the flavor of the meat, IMO>

Actual steak preparation though is himalayan sea salt course ground on the meat 30 minutes before cooking, then cracked pepper just before going into a searing hot pan. I like a really hard sear/salt crust on the outside and a nice rare/mid rare in the center. Only for filets or a ribeye, depending on the marbling.

Still not convinced that was a steak, but this is the same thought that crossed my mind when I saw it on TV.

In other news, I made some blue cheese butter and put it on a delicious steak last weekend.  Delicious.  I have not liked blue cheese, until now.

waffle house has steak. But are we sure it cow?
