That looked like a decent strip or sirloin judging by the cut. At least he ordered it mid rare.

Hard to tell on TV but on his salary I wouldn’t be eating sirloin.

In a literal sense it does speak to teppers character though. 

This. It's similar to someone asking for a steak well done. You politely but firmly ask them to leave.

I bet his steak is well done too... If I was grilling steaks and he was at my place and asked for well done, I’d have to ask him politely, yet firmly, to leave.
