Our definition of excellence is "not the worst".

It was the panther tradition in the JR era. Hoping that the Tepper era shows another standard.

Gotta disagree very strongly here (as seems to be the consensus). The interim position is very openly a lameduck position here and whoever is stepping in is entering a highly unfavorable situation. We lost our defensive playcaller with no one on the team clearly suited to step into the role and are playing the toughest stretch of our schedule, at Atlanta where we lose just about annually, Seattle, at Indy and New Orleans. If we really think we have something in Scott Turner, you don't throw him in a situation he is setup to fail, where it would be harder to keep him on board if we look awful and he would have to either take a heavy demotion from interim head coach or be fired altogether. They handled it perfectly as far as I'm concerned by making him the play caller, having Fewell/Norv take head coaching responsibilities since they've done it before and then we make serious moves on the coaching staff when the season is over.
