The Shaq contract pretty much confirms Tepper is JR 2.0

This board is depressing. Quit the knee jerk reactions, the world is not ending. Some of you would be happy to let every  upcoming free agent walk and for us to go 0-16

Some of us have spent way too much time and money on this team to keep seeing head scratcher after head scratcher.  It's not that we want to bitch about something, its that we've seen this fuging shitty movie 25 times and Hurney produced 13 of them.  So, spare us your judgement of those who don't share your rah-rah mentality.

My question: Why are we working contracts without knowing what we'll be deploying in 2020?

Great question, the only answer is the head coach is already hired and the public doesnt know. The guy form Minnesota is a great guess, he worked with Scott Turner(the new OC). There could be a rely program being done between them.

He’s good but not that good, he’s more like a AJ Klein type player.. Good but easily replaceable

Well guys with takes like these

We have found our new GM. Truly an elite level talent evaluator.

Rah rah mentality =/= Saying you're overreacting.

What do we lose by retaining Shaq?W Whydo you guys think hes so easily replaceable, and if he's so replaceable, who do we replace him with? What player is resigning Shaq blocking us from? Why lose Shaq and have LB, be it 3-4 or 4-3 be a need?

Shaq is an above average LB, he's done about as well as you would expect from a Late first round pick.

Honestly, the Vikings guy looks good.  I'd be cool with that.

You'd have to think there is a mapped direction of what we're going to put on the field in 2020 if Tepper is designating Hurney to make extensions.

What it comes down to: We must view Shaq as a WILL with Luke as the MIKE in a hybrid scheme and think it's misison critical to keep them together.  Problem is they can only do so much if we don't bolster the defensive front.
