Yes, 16-17 is about right for Bradberry. I would honestly say probably closer to 17-18 honestly

Looks like it we be Jackson and Cockrell next year.

Wait.  Cockrell is a free agent also.  Fug me.

To be honest my real gripe is that they signed Shaq first.  If we can still sign Bradberry I would be fine with this.  Tag him if necessary.

because of how embarassing some of the L's have been this season?

What better way to turn those embarrassing L's around than to invest 100 million dollars in two linebackers?

I like Shaq but the timing of this move all things considered is just strange.

I believe the HC has already been picked and all the movement of coaches was done with their blessing. Same for shaq signing. The guy in Minnesota worked with Scott Turner and their team is paying big money to LBs Barr and Kendricks.  Lots of smoke.

I mean....maybe. I need to see it first.

I doubt that this was figured into things, but the timing definitely could have been better.

"Hey, you know that guy you just watched get dragged down the field by a player on a 2-9 team last Sunday? Well, we just gave him a big contract extension. Isn't that great?:Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

That’s it right there. And guy who did it had season average of 2.6 ish ypc before seeing Panthers D and having the best game he will ever have in his life.  Giving out big contracts isn’t the reaction I expected after that.

they better get rid of Jackson as trade bait to get a 7th rounder and that would be a better pick than what we have with him at this moment

Y'all seem to have forgotten about the draft and free agency in your rush to cry baby tears about a young versatile player getting a contract extension, sheesh

Sorry he isn't that versatile and they over paid for him.  Should have let him checked the market out and see what he is really worth.  Teams pick on him with those short dumb and across the middle with 5 yards or less to pick up their 3rd downs.  Watch tomorrow what Atlanta does to him and count how many miss or failed to wrap up tackles he misses Then come back and tell us how versatile he is.

So friggin stoked

Shaq has been amazing despite the trash takes some have about his performance

This is correct.  Watch the damn games, people.  A LB who can cover slot WRs, TEs, blitz, etc.  He is good. This deal is not great for us, but it is keeping a good player.

I don't understand how Shaq is worth this much. I would have personally just cut him, and drafted someone else.

I mean forget cutting him

Just let someone else sign him, get a 3rd round comp pick, draft someone 90% as good as him with that 3rd rounder

And then use that 15 million dollars on an elite player at a position of impact (edge, offensive line, outside wide receiver, etc)

It's not that difficult.   Teams fall in love with their homegrown talent too often
