I'm just going to skip over your b.s. and get to the bottom line. You can take care of your insecurities on your own time.

Until we see the structure of the deal, we don't really know the actual length or value of the contract. Is it front-loaded? Back-loaded? Has a lot of incentives? Options? Let's wait and see.

It's doesn't feel good to be schooled does it. Need to learn more kid.

This was essentially Shaqs first year starting. Have to imagine he’ll get even better.

This too.

He turns 26 in April. Just entering his peak years. He’s played the role of understudy for so long and finally had a real role on the field this season for the first time in his career. Shaq has all the athletic ability in the world and as you said he’s most likely going to get better.

We would’ve regretted losing him

Well we know 16m signing bonus and another 12m fully guaranteed.

So 28m is guaranteed,  max value is 57m. Base value is 54.2. So 2.8m in incentives not considered ltbe.  So 26m not guaranteed, last two years will likely be in the 15-16m range.

16m signing bonus, first two years fully guaranteed to cover other 12m.

5m (9m)

7m (11m)

12m (16m)

14m (18m)

we as a fan base like to point our fingers at the likes of Cleveland, Detroit, and Tampa And laugh  but, truth be told, we are much closer to those franchises than any of the ones of merit.

Even if you’re a huge Shaq fanboy, you can’t defend signing a player that is critical to a defensive scheme before we even have a coach.

This just reeks of an owner trying to buy some goodwill with his locker room after coming across as a douche by firing a well respected (albeit under performing) coach in the middle of the season.

welcome to the world of David “Jerry Dan Snyder Jones” Tepper.

Maybe because he wants the 3-4 pass rush scheme because analytics show it's best base defense.
