We needed a WR. Not to replace anyone. To play behind them. Which is why there is a direct comparison to each other. Not current players. How hard is that to comprehend?

This is getting funnier and funnier...so all this fuss is about who should have been signed to play our 4th string WR? A position that historically gets virtually zero playing time in our system ? Here, let me make it simple for you:

Do you think having signed Josh Gordon as our #4 WR over Moncrief would have had a reasonable chance of winning us more games this year? If yes, how? If not, why do you care so much? This is like wasting time arguing over who should be our #2 RB between Bonnafon and Davis lol, it’s incredibly inconsequential.

What is your claim that is “correct” that I’m refuting? Everything I’ve seen you post is completely subjective. So for something to be correct vs. incorrect, it has to be factual...not some ambiguous hypothetical like “Josh Gordon would have been a better 4th WR than Moncrief” lol. What’s your factual claim here?

Your takes aren’t “rational” just because you say they are. Fussing about who should’ve been signed to play our 4th WR position is the very definition of irrational. You’ve proven time and time again that you argue from a place of emotion, rather than logic and rationale. I mean, really...your go-to argument (instead of anything substantive), is “you just can’t stand to hear anything negative about your luvee” or whatever weird cringey word you used.

You think I think this team is perfect? We’re 5-7 lol we suck...I don’t attack “Panthers suck!” posts...I attack really weird, nonsensical, ridiculous niche arguments and you post lots of those which is why you feel so targeted all the time. The fact that your predictable go-to response of any rebuttal on any thread about any topic, micro or macro level, is the generalization of “you just think this team’s perfect and no one is allowed to criticize them!” shows how emotional and defensive you are, and your inability to engage in nuanced discussion.

Why do you want me to ignore you so badly? You are a beautiful, endless stream of content. I’m sorry, but “The Huddle” and “knowledgeable posters” do not belong in the same sentence. The fact that you think a lot of posters in here are knowledgeable is a reflection upon your own football knowledge, or lack thereof.

  It’s funny that you made it whatever you needed to. I never mentioned other WRs on the team. It was in direct response to a discussion had on here when the moves happened. But we had a news and picked up a player not as good as the one we chose. At the time, many of the reasons given for not taking Gordon were injury or suspension. Neither which has come to pass as Gordon played almost immediately. But you turned it into some commentary on our WR group as a whole. But sure, I’m the one stretching things for  an agenda. That is comical.

Why do you keep mentioning an agenda? When did I ever use that word or insinuate anything about you pushing an agenda? Are you projecting your own thoughts? Or are you talking about something I said to you like 2 years ago since you clearly harbor lots of resentment from our previous discussions, evident by you constantly alluding to previous interactions. I don’t think you necessarily have an agenda...like I said, I think you just whine to whine. You just seem like a miserable boomer which is why you seem to have some unspoken camaraderie with certain other posters cut from the same cloth, who you keep vaguely referencing as having spoken out against me.

Why in the world would our current WRs be irrelevant when discussing signing another WR? Depth/playing time/value to the team is all contingent upon the position group as a whole. If he is better than our current crop, then he will be in a position to play and contribute. If not, then he’ll be buried in the depth chart and have minimal to no contribution. What a weird stance to take.

If we signed Gordon instead of Moncrief, then chances are, we’d be cutting a catchless Gordon for Dortch instead of a catchless Moncrief for Dortch. If our 4th WR is getting no play, then he might as well have some special teams value which Gordon doesn’t. Like I said, this is all incredibly inconsequential and you’re making such a big deal about it.

  So you made the claim the statement is false. You made up your OWN point I never made or suggested. We picked up Moncrief AND Dortch. Which one is gone? The one I said shouldn’t have ever been here. What was Moncriefs STs value? If that was the difference between the ONLY two players I mentioned. Then brought an agenda up(and admitted it) but then wonder why I would respond in such fashion. 

I mean I know Gettleman was pretty trash at drafting receivers so we don't have the most talented receiving corps to work with, but Josh Gordon ain't it.

  Did that not happen in your world? Or is it OK because you did it and you’re above all that. Well done. 
 

  And it’s easy to remember someone who avoids the relevant point and only changes the rules as he goes to fit his agenda. And I haven’t been the only one. Seems you have an issue with any well informed poster who doesn’t agree with your sunshine everyday. Just like all the deflection you put into this thread. Why? Was actually stating that Gordon would have been a better pickup than a player already gone is pure insanity.
