  • Downsize BOA to about 30-40k seats for soccer.
  • Or let them use BOA until the new Panther stadium is built in SC
  • People will pay 3x what a Panthers ticket would cost and fill the stadium to see Garth Brooks over the Panthers
  • It would cost a lot less than $120M to demolish BOA once Tepper builds the new stadium in SC

Upper 50 yard line tickets per game is $110.00 for the panthers.

Good idea, let Rock Hill SC pay for Tepper's dreams.

"WBTV has previously reported that city council has been presented with options to renovate Bank of America Stadium into a soccer specific stadium for a future MLS team. The proposal from Carolina Panther’s owner David Tepper’s team would require council to authorize $100 million or more in tourism tax funds."

Don't overlook "soccer specific stadium."

BOA at 73,000 seats is far from soccer specific.

Average ticket price for GB tickets is $131.00

I think they would remove the top level of the stadium to make it smaller.  (less than 45,000 people)

I say remove the upper level and both end zones. Put the giant jumbotrons in each end zone at about the club seat level.

The Los Angeles FC stadium where the Chargers are playing is very cool and cozy. Look at it in comparison to the LA Coliseum

Century Link Stadium is home of reigning MLS champions Seattle Sounders, it is also home to the Seattle Seahawks.

Largest attendance for a sporting event in the history of the stadium

There's nothing else to see in Seattle in terms of sports and both the football and soccer teams are perennially championship caliber.

Yeah, it helps to win.  Decapitating BOA is a poor business decision IMHO.  Cover the upper decks if necessary, so they'll still be there to provide the capacity required for other events.  If necessary, build a soccer specific stadium.
