Not at all. Once again you do that extreme characterization you are so find of to exaggerate others positions to say what wasn't actually said.  Obviously Tepper said he was bringing other people to work collaboratively with Hurney and do some of the myriad things GMs are responsible for doing. He doesn't think being the GM is a one man job as it has been. But to say he is being demoted or limited due to doing a poor job or not having the requisite skills is your opinion not Tepper's so far.

With as much double talking as you're doing right now, I'm guessing if he winds up being fired you'll come back with an explanation of how he wasn't really fired.

I don't know he is only good at one thing and neither do you unless you know what happens day to day like Tepper does. For now Tepper apparently thinks the biggest problem is coaching so he made a change. If he thought it was the GM he would have replaced Hurney and let the new GM pick the coach instead of letting Hurney make that choice.

If he gets fired then obviously Tepper didn't like what he was doing. But until then I am not going to assume I know what is going to happen and try and spin it to my own point of view. Honestly I don't know if Hurney needs to go or not. Like usual, I trust those in the organization who know more than me to make the decisions. Then we all can all see what happens.

Not at all. Just pointing out what Tepper actually said instead of getting on my tin foil hat and speculating like you constantly seem to do.  Whatever we do now is a step in the process as he clearly said, so nobody knows the long term plan. I am just pointing out the speculation about Hurney being gone after the draft or.limited as you keep suggesting is all speculation based on your thoughts not Tepper.

Tepper isn't an idiot. If he wants to find a role to keep Hurney on board he's not going to fire him or trash him in the media. It doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be the GM going forward.

I'd say the whole "let's not give him that kind of compliment" was his mouth running away from him.

When he realized he'd said something in public that he probably should have kept private, I'm guessing that's when the video was deep-sixed

Exactly. If you are going to.make changes you don't exactly broadcast them to the media or do everything at once. Obviously Tepper thought the bigger issue was Rivera not Hurney or he would have replaced Hurney and let the new GM pick the coach. He already said that Hurney isn't the.long term solution but for now he is. I am not being abrasive or combative. That seems to be your perception based on past interactions not what is in this thread.
